Would someone tell me if this truly works for thick, frizzy hair? I read through tons of reviews but almost all of them gave glowing reviews before revealing they received big discount for giving review. How does this compare with straightener?

Straightner is much better. This was a waste of money for me. I have thick wavy hair and it literally pulled my hair so much because of the thick bristles. I give this a rating of 0 out of 10 do not buy!

I have actually been considering this because of one review by Valerie. She posted a video of herself using it and it does look like it works. She is honest that it is not going to make hair as straight at a flatiron, but it good for quick day to day use. Here’s what she wrote…
This is an excellent quality hair straightener brush. I have a few different ones. One of the features I like about this one are that it has an ionic button so it reduces the frizz in your hair. I have really long, frizzy, wavy/curly hair and this is a great feature. I also love that it does NOT have rubber tips on the brush bristles. It glides easily through my hair. One of the other straightener brushes I reviewed had the rubber tips on the bristles and it yanked all my hair out. This brush also heats up to 450º F or 230º C. I always need the 450º setting because my hair is so thick. Brushes or flat irons that don’t go up to that temperature usually do not work on my hair. So this one works well. It is heavier than other straightener brushes I’ve used, but it saves me a lot of time in straightening my hair. When I straighten my hair with a regular flat iron, it takes a good 1/2 hour. With this brush, it takes me about less than 10 minutes. If you like to straighten your hair regularly and hate the time it takes, I think you will like this brush a lot. I recommend it!

We bought a similar one at Walmart for $40. My one daughter has thick, curly hair and it does not work on her hair at all. My other daughter’s hair is more wavy and it doesn’t work that great one her hair either. She used it once and went back to the flat iron.
