I just bought the exact same Scooby-Doo Lego mansion for my son at Walmart. The regular price was $49.99 and it was on clearance for $35. I would check Walmart or Amazon before buying as these prices seem to run a lot higher.

Great score! Thanks for the heads up!

I have heard terrible things about that site, wouldn’t trust.

    • Sun

What terrible thing have you heard? I am curious.

    • ma

me too, I not going to buy anything again from this rakuten website!.. lucky me, customer service was good and received the refund of an item that I never received I just dont trust them ….

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

So sorry to hear that Christy 🙁 Thanks for the honest feedback!

Im trying to give Legos a chance….How would you possibly keep all the different Lego sets apart from each other so the pieces don’t get mixed together?

    • Amy

You dont….lol you just keep the books/instructions. Kids end up taking them apart and building their own designs…..

    • Kelli

I keep my sons sets in their own ziplock bags. Some gallon, some sandwich depending on the size of the set. I put the instructions on what each set is in the corresponding bag. Then all bags go into a large storage bin in his playroom. If you ever lose the instructions the Lego site have the PDFs.

Same here. Luckily my sin puts them back in to their bags when he’s done. Great suggestions I was about to post the same

I don’t buy my boys Legos anymore because they don’t keep the sets together. They build them once and once the get destroyed, they just get thrown into a box of random Legos. I’ve seen other people have shelves where they’re kids keep their sets, or in big ziplock bags with instructions. That has never worked for my kids. They never put the sets back on the shelves or in the bags when they were done playing with them. My boys are 11 and 7 btw.

      • riss

My boys (now 18 and 20) never looked at instructions, they’d just go right at it and build their own things. Then play with it for a while, and dismantle it, then build again. Nothing to display. In between Lego building, pieces go to a big box, together with other pieces from different sets😨

        • riss

Come to think of it, I never told them to put each set in different boxes or bags. I just asked them to put them away where we won’t step on it. Those tiny pieces hurt!

That’s the best part about Legos is that all the different sets can be mixed together. Creativity is when our kids build new things using pieces from all their old sets. They’ll play for hours and hours with their Legos. But these sets are pricy so we always look for discounts from good places.

So true! Thanks so much for the helpful feedback Justin!

I keep my sons & daughters extra pieces from a set in separate ziploc bags along with the instructions & then store all the Legos including the instruction ziploc bags in a lay n go bag. It’s a huge bag that cinches closed when the kids are done with their Legos so it’s super easy to clean up after their done playing & take anywhere you go or travel. When open the bag is one huge circle that the kids play on. I have one for each child. It’s awesome. I got mine at layngo.com & or Amazon sells them too (they also sell knock off ones for cheaper). I wish I had found out about these bags when my first 2 kiddos were little but discovered them atleast for my 2 youngest. Great way to contain & keep Legos together!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

How cool! Thanks for the tips Angie! Good to know!

This site has terrible reviews when I google them. Has anyone ever ordered from them? Received item with no problem?

  7. amber

Wow!!! My kids LOVE to make their own things. We also go online to get instructions for things and they find the pieces from other sets and make them. We don’t usually buy new toys, but we can never find lego pieces anyway and no one ever seems to get rid of them. I hope they don’t just throw them out. I would pay for them.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh awesome! Thanks for the helpful feedback Amber!
