PetSmart: Secret Life of Pets In-Store Event For Kids (July 23rd)

This Saturday, July 23rd from 12PM-4 PM only, PetSmart will be hosting a Secret Life of Pets event for the kiddos! With the help of clues, a treasure map and stickers, kids will visit 10 different stations throughout the store trying to locate Max. They’ll also receive character masks and coloring sheets and the first 30 kiddos to complete the quest at each store will receive a FREE PRIZE!

Anyone know what the prize is….don’t wanna waste my time
I don’t know what the prize is.. Personally, I think it’s should be more about the ‘fun’ factor that the prize..
The activity should be the ‘reward’ not the prize.. Too stressful to try and be on of the first 30 and the last thing we need is disappointed kids.. I usually stop in and we take our time (moving at the kids’ pace) and then if we do get a prize, it’s just a happy surprise to add to the day!! 😅
Agree! This is a great & fun, most importantly “free” activity to enjoy with your child. It’s not always about getting a physical “prize”. Perhaps your child is too old to enjoy the activity itself. Younger kids love treasure hunt & visiting differ stations. My little one loves Petsmart. We go look at the fish/turtles, birds, visit the cat adoption area & seeing all the customer’s dogs that come in to shop. If you want a guaranteed “prize”, go to Mcdonald (they have Pets happy meal right now).
I work at a PetSmart in Michigan, the prize is a “squishy Max.” I haven’t seen it though so I don’t know any more than that! 🙂
The prize is a squishy max toy. Like a stress ball material. About the same size as the McDonald toys!
Thank you so much for the heads up. I just took my daughter to her first movie (she’ll be three in a month) last weekend, and now she’s obsessed with the secret life of pets! She’s so stoked to go to this.

I kinda climbed up their corporate promotional butt last month for starting the last Secret Life of Pets promotion 3 hours earlier than advertised. Out of everything when we arrived at starting time.
Unknown if it made a difference but I’d love to get one of the “Stress Max” for my Autistic Child. She’s an uptight Capricorn with a SERIOUS toy dog fetish.
But with the limited supply and their freewheeling application of promos, I dare not try.
However if anyone scores a Stress Max and can part with it, I will purchase it from you!
It’s pretty cool that Petsmart does these kinds of events. They also had a “finding dory” event when that movie came out. They gave out little fish bowls that the kids got to decorate with stickers, coloring books, stickers, bubbles, and gold fish crackers. It was fun for the kids! 🙂
