I saw the ad Preview this Morning and I am excited needed the color pencils. I will be there at open time because last time they were out just an hour after open time and I never got a chance to get the pink erasers all week out of stock for 3 different stores.

You can price match the color pencils to Walmart.I have a Walmart close to an office depot.Hoping they won’t both be out.I always get to office depot a few days after the sale.They sell out on some things but I still snag a few of the low price items.TFS h2s.

They still price match. They only stopped doing it at 500 stores and I read somewhere they have over 4000 stores. All my local stores still price match.
Mine doesn’t pricematch anymore either. I think eventually they will phase pm out at all stores. Read an article they want people to use savings catcher.

My store Also let me substitute the office depot erasers for the papermate ones.I was excited the lady just offered it to me.Got them for 1 cent yesterday.Doesn’t hurt to ask.

So far, for the first 2 weeks of school supply sales at Office Depot/Max, I am very disappointed. We have 2 stores in town and both sold out of the penny and inexpensive items on the first day; in fact, within first 3 hours on the second weekend. Every year there would be a plentiful amount of supplies through the whole week. I asked an employee and he responded that the store did not receive enough inventory. I really hope this changes because now is not even the back to school shopping supply rush yet.
they do it on purpose to draw you to the store. Most people wouldn’t have time to come back so they would pay higher prices on everything just to save time.

For those looking to price match, try Staples. They were wonderful about price matching Office Depot’s deals for me and they had a lot of items in stock.
Some people have posted they went Saturday and purchased everything at full price and then later on Sunday, they went back in to get the prices adjusted. I have not tried this. Kind of a hassle, but I guess it beats racing to the store after church. 💗
Check with your local store on this. Not all will do a price adjustment. You may have to take everything you purchase on Saturday back in with you to have them return everything, then repurchase it all to get the deal.
Does Staples price match Office Max brand? Does anyone know what their policy is on this. Last year they price matched similar staples brand items for the office max brand penny deals for me because I only had a handful of items. But they didn’t know if they were supposed to do it or not. So I guess it would be worth a try again. Has anyone else done this?
As far as I know, they will not price match other stores’ BTS deals. But you can check with your local store
We had card stock on our school supply list. I happened to be in Michael’s today and it was 60% off! $1.99/pack of 50 + my 15% teacher discount. If you’re in need, it seems like a great deal. Anyone know of any deals on copy paper? Last year I was able to score it free at Staples after the reward check.
The PAST two weeks, Office Max/Depot copy paper was $6/ream wit a $5.99 Rewards rebate; limit 3. I bought one each week which qualified for $5 purchase for the penny items- that they didn’t have many of!!!
I just got my rebate back on the paper so I’m gonna use that next week to get even more school supplies…im sooooooooooo excited. Thanking for posting this… i was able to help my sister finish her kids lists from this week’s deals.
How long ago did you do the paper rebate? I did it last week and still nothing *sigh*
I just did a live chat with Office Depot about the paper rebate (from 7/10/16 – 7/16/16) and was told to allow 5 weeks for rewards to post to the account. They said you will receive an email when the rewards certificate is available. HTH

Can we use rewards at office depot to buy other items that are supposed to come with rewards? Such as using my $10 reward to get 2 paper packages that are $6 each with $5 reward? Like rolling the rewards? Thanks!
