We made this for our sons Construction Bday Party and it was a huge HIT… Not only the kids but even their parents loved it!!

      What a cute theme!

I always bring this to my nephews’ birthday parties! I mix it up with different pudding flavors (chocolate, vanilla, banana) and also include peanut butter mixed with cool whip! My brother (the dad of all the nephews) usually ends up eating the most 🙂

    Mmmmmmm… Love this stuff!

      I know! So great 😀

One of my boys doesn’t like chocolate – so we do a ‘sand’ version with golden Oreos or villa wafers, Swedish fish and vanilla pudding. Sometimes I put blue food coloring in cool whip for the waves

    • Lina (Hip's Modern Martha)

That is great! I love it!

I’m 30 now, but I remember making the sandy beach version in elementary school. We added teddy grahams floating in gummy life saver rafts and cocktail umbrellas.

My youngest dislikes chocolate- so for him, I may ‘sand’ swap gumming worms for Swedish fish
    Vanilla pudding
Chocolate Oreos for golden ones or Villa wafers
And put blue food coloring in the cool whip for waves

Fun for summer in general too

They have gluten free chocolate sandwich cookies that would make a good substitute too!

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Awesome 👏 yes! Thanks for sharing that idea 😊

Add a little instant coffee or espresso (dissolved in a bit of milk) and mix that into the vanilla pudding for a cappuccino flavored dirt cup. Adults love that.

  8. Justine

I remember eating these at birthday parties when I was a kid. Lots of fun and yummy!
