Yep, it’s true! The 110% price match guarantee is calculated at the register based on the difference of the Staples sale price and the competitor’s price (note that your final cost may vary by location). For example, if the Staples price is $4 and the competitors price is $1, the 110% price match guarantee will be 10% off the $3 difference – so 30¢ will be taken off the competitor price of $1, which makes the final cost 70¢. Hopefully that makes sense! It’s confusing, I know!

I had to inform the store manager that their 110% price matching is on all products, not just ink like he believed. He didn’t believe my phone’s Internet, so he went to the computer in store to double check. He then said this must be a new thing. I pointed out that according to their website it began at the end of December. Lol
Does Staples price-match vary by region? The nearest Office Depot/Office Max is 60 miles away from me so we don’t get flyers from their store. Would I be able to show the ad on my phone? Can someone please let me know how this works. Thank you in advance.

I was told at my Staples that they wouldn’t price match the Office Max/Office Depot prices because there wasn’t a store withing a certain number of miles that they were competing with. I’m not positive, but I think they said it had to be within 5 miles of the Staples store.
Could we price Match the 0.1 cent deals that office depot has???
My Staples will honor all items in the office max/office depot ad except the 0.1 cent deals.
I’m pretty sure most of the 1 cent deals (if not, all of them) are OfficeMax/Depot brand, so Staples would probably argue that they don’t sell those particular items. Whereas the items listed on this post are brand name items sold everywhere. I suppose it’s worth a shot, though.
I didn’t even think to price match the Office Depot ad. I stopped there today and they were wiped out. I guess I will try Staples tomorrow. Thanks.

mine only price matched to 100%, which I can’t complain since the crayons a few weeks ago were 25 cents each. they also priced matched to office depot limit too. mine still price matched even though there are no local office depots in the area.

Does anyone know if Staples carries the Uni ball pens and the Swingline stapler that are each $1 at Office Depot/Max this week? They should both be really cheap with the 110% price match!
