Off topic ,looking for a large playpen/cage/large play yard for my 8 months old, while I work from home please provide some suggestions. This is the only blog I follow and none to ask this to

    • Andrea

It’s not really fair to your baby to leave him/her alone with no interaction in a play pen while you work for hours. 10-15 minutes here and there to get something done quickly is ok, but if you’re working even part time while your little one is awake you will need a babysitter.

      • Laurie

Oh, Jesus! Get off your soapbox and stop judging other moms!!

        • Samy

Thanks Laurie, we live country side in Alabama. I couldnt find a baby sitter here. I don’t want to send him 8 hours to daycare, in the very first month itself. So decided to send him 4 hours and the other 4 hours planning to manage in parallel while I work.. until he gets adjusted to the daycare.

      • Samy

Hello Andrea, thanks for your honest opinion. I wish I could find a baby sitter

    • CJ

I would recommend looking at craigslist and FB sale sites in your area for a gently used one. I see enclosed play areas on ours regularly.

      • Samy

Thanks foe the idea CJ, will look in Craigs list/ yard sales

Samy, I think it’s awesome that you have the opportunity to work from home and be with your child.

I bought a ball play pin for around 40 in Walmart Jump O lean I think was the name not sure. my 9 month and 2 year old played for hours with their toys and balls inside.

      You’re welcome Jenn!

One of my kiddos got this for Christmas. It’s actually a pretty neat little bird.

    • CJ

What is the max age you think it would be good for? I’m debating for my niece that would be nearly 9 by Christmas but wondering if it would still appeal to her at that age.

      • Felicia

I think it would appeal to an older child. I even like playing with it. My 4 year old doesn’t know how to play with it to right way. She’s has trouble attaching the bird to all the different spots. So she doesn’t get much use out of it yet. But he is really cool. Says a lot and very interactive.

      • Sara

Agree with Felicia. At Christmas my youngest was 5. My niece 7. Even us adults and older kids played with it.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Oh cool! Thanks for sharing!
