Lolita, do you step over this gate? I have 6 & 8 year olds as well as a baby. My big kids need to be about to get over it?!?!
I step over the gate… I don’t think it would be that great for younger kids to step over regularly. I would be afraid that they would use the gate as support for climbing over.or would trip because they cannot lift their leg high enough. We use it to keep kids of all ages out of an area, although at times we have let them come in and they hold on to the doorway to climb in. I often hold on to the wall when climbing over because it is somewhat high.
I don’t have small kids but we foster cats for adoption. We use the wooden gates in our house windows (when it is nice enough to open them) to keep the cats from clawing at the screens and getting out (and lost). Just throwing this out there as I’ve known many people that have lost their pets from the windows. 😉

Thanks! I’m going to try to use this to keep my kids on my front porch! It’s hard to contain a two-year-old outside when you’re trying to feed a baby. Hope this helps.
