I bought that task lamp. It’s so beautiful but….Total junk. It was nearly impossible to adjust the height (kept slipping back down where the light would just face down. The light is not adjustable so wherever it is pointing is all you get. I was so disappointed but it went back since I needed it for a purpose.

the CA version of the lamp is available for $16, what does that mean?
CA has strict guidelines about electrical consumption and just requires manufacturer to supply a CFL bulb with lighting. Basically your getting an energy efficient bulb included

I got mine at target about a month ago on clearance (same price) and love it! It works like a dimmer, so it’s awesome at bedtime. No problems adjusting it like others said.
