It is a little dark for my taste. And not as clear as ipad. It is fast though and I added 128 gb memory card so I don’t have issues with 8 gb.
No play store, but thats the onlt limitaion. Ive had mine for a few months.
You can add play store. Pretty simple to do. I added it on my kids device as they needed YouTube kids
What’s the difference between the regular Fire tablet and the kids version other than the case?

The kid’s version comes with a MUCH longer, no questions asked warranty. It also includes a subscription to Amazon Freetime which lets you download a lot of kids’ books, apps, etc. for free. When I first bought one, I didn’t see any reason to pay more for these features, so I bought the “regular” one. After it stopped working (only 6 months after buying) and Amazon didn’t want to exchange it for a new one, I realized why people pay more for the kids’ version. Worth every extra penny IMO.
Can you take the Kid’s version in the car without wi-fi or will they only be able to play games or use the apps already downloaded if there is wi-fi?
You will need to download whatever books/apps/games you want to use while you have wi-fi. Then you can access them while in the car.

Wondering if you already have prime and buy the kids tablet, will the prime extend our your current membership or just start on the day you register and be in your kid’s name as a separate account.
Also if you were to buy the kid’s tablet at Best Buy do you still get the one year prime or is it only if you buy direct from Amazon?

I was wondering if the 2 year warranty and the one year membership of the free time came with it if purchased from Best Buy. I called Amazon and Best Buy (2 separate times each) and got different answers with each one. So I am still unsure of the answer. Although on Best Buy’s website I did find that it says “Android OS customized for Amazon
Instantly access educational games and kid-friendly apps using Amazon FreeTime Unlimited (1-year subscription included).”. So I believe that comes with it. Anyone else have an answer about the 2 year warranty?
