I have had problems with Target and the KidFresh coupon. For some reason it will not scan so they will not accept it.

      Oh bummer 🙁

I posted to them on Facebook a while ago. I guess they haven’t changed anything. They are using a compressed image as the coupon and their compression is too high. It adds a certain amount of artifacating and grey ghosting on the barcode, which makes it extremely difficult for scanners to pick up. They did say they were going to do something about it, but it’s been over a month and they obviously haven’t.

Is refrigerated chicken considered meat? This question is regarding $5.00 off $20.00 Target meat and seafood coupon. Thanks in advance.

    • Jessica

I believe so.. I bought fresh/frozen/refrigerator meat yesterday and all of it qualified for the coupon 🙂

Target has updated their coupon policy. Gift card offers are now considered a *coupon* and cannot be combined with any manufacturer coupon!! Nor can we now price match and use a coupon [gift card!!] At the same time. It’s one or the other.

    • Nick

That’s what they may have told you at your store but no official update yet.

    • Bethany

It couldn’t ever be considered a manufacturer coupon——are you saying we can no longer use a manufacturer coupon and a store coupon together?

    • thanks!

If this change happens it will be a huge detriment to my family… I only have $80 per month to stretch for food, fuel, and random expenses. I hope they leave the policy as is.

Whoever told you that? That is ridiculous and so not accurate. If your store told you that, they are trying to make up their own rules. Once upon a time I was told to leave the store for debating over the official coupon policy. Long story short, they threatened me with security and to ban me from the store. One call to corporate and an email to the district manager sorted things out. They tried again for a few weeks to impose their “Store” coupon policy, until I found out from a cashier that their store manager was in a lot of trouble.

Corporate do DO something about it, but you need to escalate the problem higher up than just the CSR.

Also a tip, on the receipt their is a survey to fill in online. DO it! That goes to the district and general manager, especially if it’s a complaint it will get read. They are more likely to act.

Don’t settle for those ridiculous policies they make as they go. Target actually gives out gift cards for negative experiences, and the more a specific store racks up the more they are going to do something about that store. They don’t like giving them out because of store error, but they will.

They also can’t control gift cards in the system. I work in IT and various coupon ISD systems and there is no way they are going to go that deep to limit gift cards with MFC. Targets system isn’t that customization to begin with so I doubt they are going to invest tens of thousands of dollars just to add a DSI exclusion on a system that works pretty good as is.

      TL:DR

They are full of crap and I suggest you take it higher up and report that specific store (if that was the case).

I had a simular situation happen a year or so go at my Target. The LOD was always rewriting the coupon policy just for me. One day at checkout, she was next to the cashier with a Loss Prevention Personal, we spent 2 hours arguing over the coupon policy. After multiple situations like this I called the store manager, had a sit down with her, showed her my coupons and shopping list. She was also a component and agreed that I had done nothing wrong. I was told that if that I had anymore issues, to give her a call immediately.

        • Amy

          *couponer

    • Lisa

Crystal…. Link please to this supposed Coupon Policy Update? I am unable to find it anywhere online. I can’t image any Store, let alone Target, would consider a Gift CARD as a Coupon. Unimaginable.

    • CJ

When did this happen? Because I haven’t had any issues at my store yet. Sometimes store associates/cashiers simply make up things just to make life easier for themselves. I pray this will not be the case because the best deals are those where you use coupons with the gift card promos. Very sad if this does come to fruition.

    • mel

Crystal, sounds like you got fed a bunch of bull. I used several GC’s today on my purchase, and they do not come up as a “coupon”, it’s with the payment portion on my receipt.

  4. roz

i was just at target today and did the pet dog food deal with a gift card promo and the machine scanned all my coupons with no problem.

  5. CJ

Is the $1.50/1 off Tyson product coupon gone? The link did not take me to it.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn! It does appear to be gone now 🙁

  6. Joyce Chen

The $2 off coupon showed ” Limited one coupon per person per transaction”. Does that mean I cannot use three $2 off coupons at the same time?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Yes.
