Love Plant Therapy! Great oils, much more affordable than other brands, and always free shipping 🙂 They have a chart on their website that shows their comparable oil synergies to other major brands.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh cool! Thanks for the helpful feedback!

  2. Jeanette

I love this company also. I wonder if calming the child works on teenagers 😉

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Lol! 😉

  3. Cbeths

Can someone suggest a carrier oil for this? I’m very new at oils but would like to give this a try for my child (he’s 4. ) Just starting prek this year. We having some behavior issues that I think are just from ‘being a boy.’ He just doesn’t slow down to listen or follow directions. And I’m really trying to avoid medications.

    • Jeanette

I think you can use lotion so it’s not greasy

      • Jeanette

        Or use aloe Vera

    • Ailsa

You can use coconut oil to dilute it, or you can get a diffuser. You can also get the pre-diluted roller to simply roll on. We diffuse the nighttime oil in my 4 year olds room during bedtime and I think it’s really helped her have better days!

    • Brianna

You can’t use a lotion. Coconut oil is most recommended.

    • Carina

I LOVE Plant Therapy!!! Their KidSafe oils are amazing!! We dilute ours in coconut oil.

    • Sarah

Good carrier oils are a fatty oil like coconut oil, olive oil, jojoba oil, & almond oil. I however have not used this brand of essentials. I love Young Living Essential Oils since they are strong and do not have any carrier oil added unless stated on the packaging.

      • Molly

I love plant therapy! And the oils are high quality!! They are not diluted unless stated, usually in a pre-diluted roller. And customer service is the best!

      • Jen

Neither do Plant Therapy or many other reputable companies.

      • Rhetta Wade

Sarah, Plant Therapy does not use carrier oils unless stated on the package. Plant Therapy oils are just as good as YL or DT and so much less expensive! I don’t have to worry about buying 50.00 worth of stuff every year to keep my membership and they do not pressure you into buying. I am not saying anything bad about YL or DT, I have a lot of YL oils and still buy some from them that PT doesn’t carry but I LOVE PT!

    • Kim

I use fractionated (sp?) Coconut oil. Makes it easy. Plant Therapy sells some.

    • Kira

You can use the liquid coconut oil found in the food section of the grocery store as a carrier oil. Price is much cheaper!

    • Cassandra

You can use any oil that you would cook with. Coconut oil is the most common.

    • Corina

      I have used Almond oil.

    • Ashley

The best carrier oil is fractionated coconut oil. You can buy it on Amazon. https://amzn.to/2csGkSE

  4. Sandra

How do you use these oils on a child? Directions say just to dilute it. But do you rub it on them?

    • Jean

      I’d like to know too..

    • M

I put drops of oil in with coconut oil and rub on my boys backs. I keep it in a Tupperware sealed container and it’s easy to use.

      • Jyll

Just my two cents, you may consider stor ing in glass instead of plastic. =)

      • Jessica

If these are a good quality as everyone states then putting them in a Tupperware container would not be ideal if it is plastic. Oils should be stored in glass containers.

    • Rogue

Caution, essential oils can be dangerous, especially for kids. There are different grades suitable for various applications. If you are not familiar, please consider consulting with a professional or someone with true experience (not just the internet voices). Even “kid safe” needs to be handled properly. Dilution rates are important and application to child’s skin is often not recommended for small children. Diffusers may be a better use depending on what you are trying to do.

      • Ana

        I second this.

      • Plant Therapy

        Hi Rogue,

Thanks for commenting! It is absolutely true that essential oils need to be used cautiously with children and diluted correctly for topical application. Plant Therapy’s KidSafe line was formulated by Robert Tisserand who is the leading essential oil safety expert in the world. We put a lot of time and energy into making sure our KidSafe line is the absolute safest for children! We also have 6 Certified Aromatherapists on staff that would be more than happy to answer any questions you might have. You can email them at aromatherapist@planttherapy.com. Thanks!

    • Plant Therapy

      Hi Sandra,

Plant Therapy has a team of Certified Aromatherapists that you can email with any questions you have! Their email address is Aromatherapist@planttherapy.com. These particular oils will need to be diluted before using topically. You can use aloe vera gel, lotions, or carrier oil to dilute the essential oils. Once diluted, these oils can be applied to the chest, back of neck or wrists. I personally also like to use Germ Destroyer (diluted in Fractionated Coconut Oil) as hand sanitizer. You can also diffuse these oils in a diffuser or if you do not have a diffuser, you can put 8-10 drops in a medium to large pan on the stove top on medium heat and that will act as a diffuser.

Our KidSafe synergies for formulated by world renowned essential oil safety expert Robert Tisserand who is the author of Essential Oil Safety. We are confident that when diluted like we suggest, these oils are absolutely the safest for children! Let us know if this helps and if you have any other questions.

      • Sandra

        Thank you!!!

      • Jeanette

        Thank you!

    • dealhousewife

There is a lot of information on their website and oils should always be diluted (sufficiently) when applied topically. i suggest checking out their site/blog and here are a couple direct links for dilution: https://www.planttherapy.com/blog/2015/08/10/how-to-read-the-dilution-chart/
      https://www.planttherapy.com/blog/2015/08/02/max-dilution/
here is also a link for the carrier oils (& their uses) to help decide: https://www.planttherapy.com/blog/2013/02/13/what-carrier-oil-is-best-for-me/
Plant Therapy utilizes Robert Tisserand, one of the leading experts in aromatherapy and essential oil safety. here’s an article on oil Q&A with him: https://wegotreal.com/essential-oil-concerns-robert-tisserand/ good place to start if you are new to EOs. 🙂
I LOVE their oils and knowledgeable aromatherapists and their Customer Service rocks! 🙂
I just got my kindergartner a diffuser necklace and put the A+ Attention in it for class today. 🙂

    • mary

Just an idea, buy small roller bottles and make your own roll ons! Just add a few drops of the oil (however many needed depends on size of roller bottle and dilution ratio) then top off with coconut oil. And it’s dilluted and easy to carry with you! I love to do this with my favorite single oils to create my own personal blends!

  5. Angie

I would be very cautious applying these topically. An aromatherapy diffuser would be a much better way to introduce these to a child or adult.

    • Plant Therapy

      Hi Angie,

Plant Therapy’s KidSafe line of essential oils were formulated by world renowned essential oil safety expert Robert Tisserand. We are confident that if diluted correctly (website states the dilution %) these oils are absolutely safe to use topically with children 2+. If you have any other questions, please feel free to email our Certified Aromatherapists at aromatherapist@planttherapy.com. Thanks!

  6. Ashley

I love plant therapy oils. Their kidsafe line is specially formulated for kids 2-10, and works for adults too. Do be sure to dilute ALL essential oils when using topically at the correct dilution ratio. Kids especially need a lower dilution rate than adults, even when using kidsafe oils. Thanks for this deal Colin!!

  7. MeliH

Awesome deal! Thank you! I’ve been using Plant Therapy oils for awhile and love them! There is so much information about EO’s out there. You just have to take the time to read through it. Also, try contacting Plant Therapy with questions. Their customer service is very helpful.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sweet! Glad to hear you have enjoyed Plant Therapy Oils! You’re so welcome

  8. cbeths

Does the HIP2SAVE2 code only work for these two oils or can others be purchased with the code?

    • Tracy

      Just those two.

  9. Katie

We love Plant Therapy, the Kid Safe line is fantastic, no guessing or trying to remember if an oil is safe for my littles bc the bottles are clearly marked. I use in roller bottles diluted in grapeseed oil.

  10. erin

Could you use the germ destroyer with castile soap for a hand wash?

    • Plant Therapy

Hi Erin, you absolutely could! We have a couple hand wash recipes on our blog as well!

  11. Kristi Stott

I have a humidifier that has a place you can put oils. Does it work the same as a diffuser? I’d love to start using these with my kiddos to help them sleep and focus!

    • Plant Therapy

It won’t work quite the same as a diffuser but it can still be helpful! Most humidifiers specifically say not to add essential oils so that is great yours comes with a place to add oils!

  12. Yana

I like plant therapy. Their kids safe line is awesome. My faves are nighty night and calming the child. Great deals and customer service is top notch.

  13. Cayla

So excited about this! Happy to try a new oil company!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Awesome to hear that! 😉

  14. Kristie

I love Plant Therapy and have been using their KidSafe line for a year. I buy the pre diluted roller bottles since I was nervous to dilute myself and use too much on my kids.

  15. Kristia Williams

Thank you! We LOVE Plant Therapy oils!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome!

  16. Scott

    How do they smell?

  17. Kellie

    Love Plant Therapy! Thank you!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      YW!

  18. Jenna

Plant Therapy is hands down my FAVORITE!! Super excited about this deal!

  19. Gerri

Plant Therapy is the best 🙂

  20. Nena

Anyone know How how these compare to Young Living? This is what I’m currently using and love however very pricey. I did just get a few and hoping there comparable at a nicer price 😊

    • dealhousewife

i have and have used YL & DT oils and LOVE PT oils. PT is every bit just as good in quality, but better prices. plus you don’t have to find a consultant or order a minimum. there’s always free shipping and often discounts. You can order online anytime you wish and their CS is awesome! my intention is certainly not to bash YL or DT, but for me, PT was won out. (& i feel that PT has some safer practices in order – stating never to apply oils “neat” or take internally for example. especially when not under the direct care of a certified professional aromatherapist) there’s even a chart on PTs site listing the comparable blends/synergies. happy oiling! 🙂

  21. Kara0930

    I love Plant Therapy!

  22. Ger

Thanks Collin! Thanks to your post about the diffuser necklaces last week I have been crazy about Plant Therapy’s EOs! I have placed 3 orders since the necklace & now I might have to get this deal too! 🙏🏼😜😘😍💞 I can’t wait to get my orders in!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Glad to hear you could snag the necklaces! You’re so welcome!

  23. Jessica

    If I buy 2 will I get 2 free

    • Plant Therapy

Sorry Jessica I am just seeing this now! It is only one per order, but you can place multiple orders to get multiple Calming The Child synergies for free! Let me know if this helps. Thanks!

  24. Laressa Nordgren

humm I order this and then about three minutes later started getting all sorts of spam/ junk mail. I have had over 150 in the last 24 hours 🙁

    • Selena

I have been getting tons of spam emails too… although I haven’t ordered from them I signed up for newsletter I guess…. I really didn’t know what started this mess till I saw ur comment. I already spent over 30 minutes trying to unsubscribe to various emails… grrrrrr.

      • cbeths

I was getting these also over the last few days. I didn’t buy anything from this site and I did not give them my email address. I’m thinking its something else. But I can’t remember if there was anything I signed up for. And this is an email address I don’t normally give out for newsletters, nor trading. So I’m thinking email addresses get out from legitimate companies every once in a while. I spent two days deleting and only unsubscribed twice. Every time I unsubscribed, it seemed to bring me to the same page, so I think they are all coming from the same marketing company. BUT today, I received NONE so it seems to have cleared up.

      • Plant Therapy

        Hi Selena,

We have a no spam policy so please send us any emails you received that were of a concern to you and we can double check to make sure they are not coming from Plant Therapy. Since the 10th, we have only sent 2 newsletters and you should not have received more than that from Plant Therapy if you did end up signing up. If you haven’t signed up for our newsletter, and didn’t purchase from us, you would receive no email from Plant Therapy as there is no way for us to capture your email address unless you specifically give it to us. Please email us any of your concerns at cs@planttherapy.com and we are more than happy to look into this for you. Thanks!

Thank you Collin! I am looking forward to using these.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome Corina!

  26. Jess

Did anyone receive their order? I ended up placing two orders on Friday. I checked my account today and the status was still “pending.” I called customer service and they said they ended up combining my orders and everything was supposed to have arrived yesterday and to call back in a few days if it still has not come. If it shows up, should I be worried about the quality of the the oils — since they have been off the grid so to speak?!

    • Jess

I received mine Monday! Couldn’t believe how quick I recived it

    • Plant Therapy

Jess did you receive your order? If it looks like the ordered was tampered with in any way, let us know and we will be happy to take care of it for you. If all the bottles are stilled sealed and everything looks good, no need to worry!

      • Jess

Thanks for checking in. I have not received it yet. I talked to the mail carrier at my small town post office and he does not believe that he delivered it to the wrong address. We’re not sure where it is! I hope it arrives in good shape soon because I am very excited to try out oils from plant therapy for the first time.

      • Jess

        Plant Therapy:
Just to follow up, I found out today from a PT customer service rep that my orders are stuck somewhere in Idaho in a USPS warehouse. I was told that there is nothing to do but wait as they try to contact the USPS and that they can take no further action for 19 days. Further, they can not ship a new order to me until they have proof that the original order is en route back to them. What? So instead of enjoying some EOs from a company I was excited to purchase from for the first time, I am instead waiting, despite having paid for my order, as the oils sit in a facility, conditions unknown. Despite my suggestions to work something else out, the PT representative repeatedly (but politely) told me that she must stick to the “standard procedure” and that I have no choice but to wait it out. Typically, solid companies will do everything in their power to right a wrong instead of spewing “standard procedure” talk. This is a very disappointing experience, especially by a company which emphasizes customer service and the high quality of the oils.

        • Mary

Sounds like your problem is really with USPS, not plant therapy. Can’t blame PT for the USPS messing up and losing your package.

        • Plant Therapy

Hi Jess. I tried sending you an email today but unfortunately was not successful. Please feel free to email cs@planttherapy.com and ask for Retha. I am more than happy to get this taken care of for you. Thanks!

          • Jess

            Collin and Plant Therapy,
Thanks again for the follow up. I really appreciate it as I am very eager to try some oils from PT for the first time. I will email customer service and Michelle from my yahoo account right now.

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi Jess! Are you able to forward your email confirmation to michelle@hip2save.com ? She can then give your information to Plant Therapy to get this taken care of for you!

  27. sara

THANKS!! I LOVE PLANT THERAPY!! So awesome that I got that 50% off deal! Awesome time to grab some as we head into the fall/winter months!

    • Plant Therapy

Germ Destroyer is GREAT for the fall/winter months. Glad you were able to grab this deal. Enjoy!

  28. Tahlia Bulaon

So far, I think PT is as good as YL, And I really like the KidSafe line from PT. As a matter of fact, I just purchased Calming the Child about a month ago to try for the first time. I went head and purchased this deal, as well. I’m so glad this hit my inbox – thank you!

    • Plant Therapy

Yay! Glad you were able to grab this deal and glad you are enjoying our Calming The Child. Thanks for the great review!

  29. Alesha Webster

Great Deal! I love Plant Therapy oils. Thank you!

  30. Tina Dinunno

I just ordered – my first time. Im very excited. I ordered the Germ Destroyer. Can I put that on my child with a roller or use just as a diffuser?

    • dealhousewife

You can apply it with your rollerbottle (properly diluted in a carrier oil) or put a few drops in the diffuser. I like it both ways. 🙂 HTH

  31. Ashley

I placed an order yesterday and checked out as a guest. I haven’t received a confirmation email yet but the money has been withdrawn from my account. Any way to look up the confirmation? I tried making an account to see if it would show since it’s the same email and still couldn’t see anything. Any help would be appreciated!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi Ashley! You can email them cs@planttherapy.com Or call 800-917-6577. Hope this helps!

      • Ashley

        Thank you!

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

          You’re welcome Ashley! 🙂
