Thank you so much for the post about Amazon work from home positions! I was afraid I was not going to be able to work for them due to the full time schedule they sent to me; however, I received a phone call on Sunday offering me a permanent part time position! I did not have to drive the two hours to the Amazon facilities – they actually allowed me to have the forms notarized and scanned to them. It was such a blessing and I’m so thankful for your post!

Bummer California is not listed ๐Ÿ™

      Darn!

    • Elissa

Nevada either ๐Ÿ™ bummer! I would love to work from home!

Hey I’m responding about your at home business may I be in this conversation my email is armeliaahughes@gmail.com
          My name is Armelia

        • Samantha

          I am interested

  2. Kim Tenny

What kind of job is it? Does it involve sales calls or soliciting people?

    • Amy

I don’t think Amazon does that. It says customer service so I assume it’s the people who answer when you call customer service.

  3. Stacie

So you need a landline that is only used for work? Is that what that means?

    • Jenny

      yes.

  4. Brooke

Hmmm… Wyoming isn’t on the list! Lol. Too bad, but no big surprise! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

    • Renae

Hey that’s what I thought too! Go Pokes!

  5. Louise

Not in NY either. Anyone know of any work from home opportunities for NY?

    • Gentle

I was hoping NY would be included too. ๐Ÿ™ Bummer! I’d be interested, too, in legit (non sales) work from home jobs for NY.

    • Chris

Try Sutherland global or Skyes good luck

  6. Kandy Smith

    Why can’t wifi be used?

    • Michelle

They need it to be hard lined because your speed is decreased on wifi versus being directly hooked up to an ethernet cable.

      • Amy

Also, just a guess, but it’s not as secure.

      • Tricia

Most at-home actually use exclusively Wi-Fi now so I am surprised about the land line requirement and must have missed it on their actual ad.

  7. Steph

The requirement that you must be willing to work between x and y hours as well as required to work all holidays and required to work up to 4hrs per week makes me not apply. Shame because I have a full time job, but am available m-f 8pm till midnight and most weekends even. If they didn’t mandate work hours I’d jump on this chance.

    • Steph

Sorry meant to say up to 40 hours per week.

  8. Mary

PA is in the list but I can’t with 3 little ones. All the best to those who can do it๐Ÿ˜€

  9. Christine

I am very surprised to see NC on here, I would be interested because I am a permanent wfh employee and my work pc is hard wired but everything else is wifi from the router and in this day and age who really uses land line phones anymore? My work phone is a soft phone, which comes thru the computer, I have not used a land line in years and the only reason then was because of my home security but when cell back up was invented I got rid of Bell South if anyone remembers them, oh well.

    • Maria

What job do you do? I’m always interested in wfh opportunities that are legit

      • Christine

Oh my job is very legit, I work for a medical insurance company, I’ve been wfh for over 7 yrs, in the beginning when they started sending people home they did pay for your internet services thru Time Warner business class but as the years rolled by and more people started wfh you now have to pay for it yourself and you can’t write if off on your taxes, I’ve asked. My tax man tells me if this was for my own business I could write it off but not working for my employer, yes bummer that is $60 a month which does not include any cable or telephone but I have to have it.

    • cherryluva

Here in Milwaukee Wisconsin, Time Warner Cable has a bundle deal….if you get internet, cable AND a land line its actually $10 CHEAPER a month if you get the land line….weird I know, but it all adds up lol

    • Wendy

There is no need for the landline any longer….not sure why they havent updated the site. I am also in NC have been working for amazon wft for a year now

  10. SJ

Unbelievable Indiana isn’t listed…there are a crap ton of warehouses here…

  11. Amy

Does anyone know a voip line counts as a landline? Or what exactly qualifies?

    • Julie

VoIP is not a landline. It means a phone that is hard wired through the phone lines and not over Internet.

      • Amy

        Ok, thanks

    • Amanda

I worked for them last season and even though they say they require a land line, i just used my Voip and they couldnt even tell. Everything came through just fine. No issues.

    • Tricia

The ad on Amazon does not mention needing a land line. Their IT would know is it was a land line or Voip amd I have a feeling they do actually route it through the computer, not even over the voip or landline. I work at home now for another company and it is not voip or landline. My phone is hooked up to the computer.

  12. Sue

My husband works from home. And does computer programming. And he is in meetings everyday that use visual technology. Why would hughes net, dish net mean a hill of beans, also who has a house phone anymore. They cost almost as much as a cell phone. Do they reimburse for that cost? Even if I had a house phone at&t won’t fix it. I had to stop it because I was getting my neighbors calls.

    • Emulvey2001

Sue – I work from home f/t, not for Amazon though, and my work pays for my internet & landline (which is biz calls only). If you work from home, many companies will pay for it or subsidize it…cheaper than them paying rent for a building for you to work in, a desk to sit at, coffee for you to drink, etc.

      • D Bay

Who do you work for? I need a job that I can perform at home.

      • Sam82

Hi would love to know about a legit work from home job and sadly California isn’t listed as one of the areas so would like to know what type of work from home job is it you do, and if they’re still hiring? Thank you

    • AP

I had a landline for the past 8 years because it was bundled with my cable/Internet. I only dropped it because I cut cable. Some people do still have a landlines.

    • Dylan

Just a thought, but even if they don’t reimburse phone line costs (which, since this is part time I doubt they would), you could likely write off the phone line costs on your taxes if it is only used for business. I don’t have a landline any more, but if I decided to do this and had to get a land line, I think it would be tax deductible since it’s a work cost.

      • Jenna

Can anybody find on the Amazon link where it says it requires a landline? It says it on Hip2Save – but I don’t see it on the actual Amazon info.

        • Mary

I have been hired on through them and in the new hire orientation they stated no landline was necessary they mail you a token and the calls are made through their system you do however have to have your modem plugged directly into your computer.

  13. dariela

So sad oklahoma is not on it

  14. Stephanie

You can use cable modem provided telephone services just not VIOP services.

  15. Tilla H

Does anyone actually work for them that can comment? I have a fulltime job. I’d like to do this part time for some Christmas cash. from what it seems, they post a pool of hours each week and you pick what you want first come first serve. Is this accurate? Then I could pick shifts outside of my work schedule for my fulltime job.

    • Amanda

I worked for them last season and only part time. The orientation and training is ridiculous. You have to put in full time hours the first 2 weeks of training regardless if you are part time. Then, if you are able to endure all of that, they let you choose your hours via multiple choice. If they get swamped they will also force you to work more hours even if you say you cant. They will put you on the schedule without your consent and if you miss your shift, they will give you an infraction. Three infractions and you are fired. Never again will i work for them.

      • L.R.

This is very typical. You must show them that you are willing to put in the work needed to gain the knowledge you will need when you are at home and don’t just have someone at the ready for your questions. I don’t work for Amazon, but I currently (and have for the last 10 years) work from home for another company. Jobs like this are out there, but they are usually not something you should expect to find unless you have already worked for whichever company you are wanting to work from home with. They all need to train you, make sure you know the job and are trustworthy – that takes a long time to develop sometimes. The minimum at mine is 2 years. And.no,most of us can’t disclose where we work as the employers prefer not to have anyone know the employee is not into the office. If you see ads for work at home, choose your hours, unlimited potential, just don’t. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. These days it’s more likely a guarantee that it is not legit and you’ll end up paying for “training and documents/set up fees”. Never ever sign up with things like that.

    • Stephanie

      Yes

  16. Kate

Wow! I am applying First Thing In The Morning! I Got Every Single Requirement!! So glad to see this as I was going back to an office job very nice soon and. Now if I can get it, I will still have the best of both worlds. Fingers Crossed X

  17. Jen

To bad new jersey isn’t there…but I did get a job at 1 of the new warehouses in jersey…14.50 an hour.

    • 1luv

I heard the work conditions in the warehouse is tough. Hot in summer and cold in winter, and I was reading up on it and mAny ppl weren’t satisfied with it . How do you feel about it?

  18. Jenna

I am not seeing on the link that it requires a landline. Am I missing something? I see it is listed on Hip2Save, but I do not see it listed on Amazon’s website.

  19. Christina

Hey I’m a mother of 2 and I’m looking for any p/t or f/t jobs to be able to work at home but I haven’t had any luck. Does anyone know of a legit company that’s hiring or accepting new people at this time or even for the holidays? Any help would be greatly appreciated, TIA!!

  20. Doris Garner

Does anyone know exactly the job entails ? I would like to find out so my husband could maybe do this, he only works part time.

  21. Hilary

Hard wired Internet and landline phone? This isn’t 2001!

    • Adrian

You may not have hard wired internet and a landline phone, but plenty of others do. Not everyone is like you.

  22. k.lina

    Never New York City ๐Ÿ˜ข

  23. juli

Does anyone know if you can have hard wired internet and wifi? So the kids and husband can use the wifi then you switch to wired when you have to work?

    • Dipti DeGuzman

Yes you can have both Juli, and can be used at the same time too ๐Ÿ™‚ When you are hard wired, your computer uses an Ethernet cable connected directly into the router.

  24. Adrian

Your comment is offensive and insensitive.

    • Trish

      Lol

    • Roxy

I think he might be British. gay = happy
      ๐Ÿ˜Š

  25. Amanda D.

I’m wondering if they offer an employee discount๐Ÿ˜‰

    • Amanda

Yes… 10%, but only for items shipped and sold by Amazon.

      • Amanda D.

        Nice!!!

      • Padma

Do they offer insurance benefits for part time positions like this?

        • Wendy

          No

  26. Mary Faulkner

I have accepted this position with them but am having a difficult time reaching a human in the hiring department. I am at the I9 verification and they want me to drive 2 hours to verify my paperwork even though I have a fulfillment center in my town. I cannot get anyone to respond to my emails and have even asked in the chat feature only to be told to wait for a response. I have been waiting a week and a half for a response which is so frustrating. I see the email in the article about someone else who was able to get the ok to get their paperwork notarized. Who do I need to contact about that?

  27. Mackenzie Danner

    This job pays too little.

  28. buckeyemom

Does anyone happen to have any experience with Needle (work from home chat jobs)? Thanks! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Wendy Donaldson

I worked for needle doing the chat windows for Zumba fitness. I loved it, schedule was up to you as to when and how often you worked and they paid through paypal which was easy. We also got points we could redeem for merchandise on the website.

      • buckeyemom

        Thanks Wendy! ๐Ÿ™‚

  29. buckeyemom
