  5. Brie

I’ve been waiting for the swim diapers to go to 90% off. Anyone notice that or other summer clearance?!

    • Kristin

There was quite a bit at ours. I got beach balls for .29 and the pool loungers were .60. I noticed goggles, water guns, bubbles..

  6. xna

wow crazy cheap. i was there today and those mini highlighters are for 15c and i think those already marked down dirt cheap.. but 5cents are just insane im in stl… where is this store located?

  7. Dara

Oh, do I get excited about those orange tags! A few of my Walgreens in Southern California also have pretty 90% off journals in the stationery department for only 79Β’. The brand is Stitches, and they have stitching on the cover, with lots of different styles and sayings.
I picked up a few for gifts for upcoming birthdays!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Sweet! Thanks for sharing Dara!

  8. Jennifer

Thank you!! Make sure to price check things that you aren’t sure about..they may be included in the 90% off. I got travel micro bead neck pillows for 0.59, marked $2.59 πŸ˜€

    • Jennine

Thank-you for mentioning the head pillow. I saw them, but there was no sign. I read your comment, and went back in for one πŸ™‚ .79c!

  9. Sarah

I saw your post and stopped at the Walgreens up the street- i live in Cincinnati. I got $120 worth of school supplies for $11!!! The most I paid for any one item was $.60!

    • Amy

Here in Dayton there wasn’t anything.

      • jenn

Amy – what Dayton stores did you go to?

        • Amy

Beavercreek, I did happen to be at fairborn they had tons of book bags and lunch boxes.

          • jennkube

Awesome! I work at WSU – I’ll have to go to Fairborn once I get off πŸ˜€ Nice to see other Daytonians on H2S.

            • Amy

Yeah I thought I was the only one lol. They are in the back section middle aisle. I graduated from WSU. Small world. Have a good trip.

            • Amy

You may want to try the Beavercreek store now. I thought my Mom had hit that store up. She went to the Fairborn one. The Beaverreek one had wall maps for $2.19 normally $19.99, pens for .20, a large pack of pens normally $7.99 for .80. We even got a pool normally $69.00 for $6.99. I’m going to donate it to first Friday’s in Xenia.

          • Erica

I also just left the Beavercreek location and got tons of stuff!!! Including that pool for $6.99!

            • Amy

Nice. We were probally there at the same time.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

WOW! That’s an amazing score! Thanks for sharing! πŸ™‚

  10. mel

Wow, my store had nothing like that! The entire back to school section has been replaced with Fall/Halloween stuff. There were a few odds & ends on the office supplies endcap, but nothing that cheap! Those $0.04 pencils would be great for the Witches broomstick bags I’m making for my son’s class party next month!

  11. She-Ra of Coupons

Thank you for the heads up! My Walgreens did not have anything marked so there was a ton to choose from! I got my son 2 more backpacks for $2 each and a lunch pack with sandwich container for $.79! Also got Easter egg stuffers (erasers, little note pads, etc.) and pencils for my son to hand out for his birthday ($.04 each!), water squirter gun/sticks for $.39 each and water guns (multipack for $.09)!. That was a great haul! With my points, I paid $1.78 for probably about $100+ worth of items…yay!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      That’s awesome! You’re welcome!

  12. Anne26

Thank you! Just stopped and got some great deals. My favorite was the 6 pack of Washable Mr. Sketch markers for $0.70!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Great! YW!

  13. Mouy

Just scored two swim goggles for 60 cents each! They were marked $2.99 but rang up less.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Sweet deal!

  14. Liza

Saw this post while sitting in the car rider lane waiting for my daughter at school, and the Walgreens is only a mile away so we popped over when she got out. I got: 6 Star Wars notebooks, a pink panda notebook, 11 pencils, a pen, a ruler, a pencil zip-pouch for a binder, 2 packs of sticky notes, a “pink pack” of 4-5 writing utensils (pens, pencils, etc. all that write in pink), and a Star Wars folder, all for just $2 and change!

  15. Mary

    Scored at Walgreens!
    Spent$15 which is a 73% savings!!

  16. sara

There are five star coupons out there… Got $2/1 binder so $2.79 before tax. Also pop up pencil bags were .80 cents. There is a coupon for $1/2 so .30 cents each! Nice time to get a coupon binder kicking!! On a side note they sell coupon pages for binders at dollar tree. 10pk for $1!! Maybe the five star coupons are regional?? They expire 9/30 so use em before you lose em!!!

  17. Brindha

Here in Cleveland Ohio my nearest Walgreens is abt 70% off… hope it goes 90 soon.

  18. Melissa

I also found mead binders on clearance ranging from .50 to $2.19 !
Love and there were also various pen packs marked as low as .30!
    Yay for wags clearance πŸ™‚

  19. salesj

I saved 131 spend $20 on school supplies, swim float, and toys for party gifts. I found a baby float with canopy go $2 Reg $20, lounge floats 79 cents, ring floats 29cents

  20. Julie Pelarski

I spent 30.00 dollars and saved $185.00, I pretty much bought all the baby floats and swim stuff for my new
nieces and nephews. This was in Elk River, MN

  21. nancy

    only 50% off in Massachusetts

  22. Lauren

Most of the 90% off clearance wasn’t marked at my Walgreens (Springdale) in Cincinnati. I ended up scoring some super cute little mermaid and Spider-Man sprinklers for $1.29.

  23. aroaden1983

Hey fellow Hip2Savers! If anyone participates in Operation Christmas Child through Samaritans Purse, these deals would make great items to pack in shoe boxes. I always find these sales at Walgreens perfect for these projects!

    • Dara

Yes, I participate in OCC as well, and scored lots of goodies today for my shoe boxes!

    • Michelle

I was thinking along the same lines for my OCC boxes.

  24. Mouy

I went to the other Walgreens in town which had a better selection. Not all the items were marked properly and were ringing up at a higher price, but the guy in charge said it should be 90% so they gave it to me at that discount. I got 3 backpacks for $1, a throw for $1.70, a pack of pens for 69 cents, and even a water slide for $1.99 (originally $19.99!) Unfortunately no lunch boxes. The girl working there saw me grabbing stuff and when she found out they were 90% off, grabbed a ton of stuff too!

  25. apriladams429

OMG i saw several posts all day at work and stopped after work and scored 28 backpacks @ $.50 each.

  26. Khadijha

    Hi
I went to my local store in south Hersy they don’t have any thing on sale yet.

  27. Ma

Thanks, I just left there!! Most of the school items were gone but I still got a lot of good deals (backpack w/lunch bag-1.59, markers-.07, lead-.15, lunchbag-.79, 2pk light bulbs-2.99, & toys). Chas, SC
