This is not particularly related to this post, but if you have Kohl’s cash, and using a percentage off coupon,it seems that Kohl’s applies the cash off first and then percentage to the remainder, which in return significantly devalues the percentage. Is it better then to purchase small items with the Khols cash? Sorry, I’m pretty new to this.
Yes it really does that. Best to use it on a small purchase (in a separate transaction) and then do your other bigger ticket items without using the Kohl’s cash.

It really amounts to the exact same cost if you are buying all the items anyway. If you have $10 kohls cash and a 30% off coupon and you have a $20 item and a $80 item. used together you pay $100 – $10 kohls cash = $90 -30% off = $63.
If you break it up $20 item – $10 kohls cash = $10 -30% off = $7 plus the $80 -30% = $56 ($7 plus $56 is still the same $63.) What is amount to is that you are losing 30% off on your kohls cash amount, no matter how you spend it. Basically the kohls cash is only worth $7, not $10 (the way I look at it.)
