Does anymore know how to get rid of adult acne? I’ve never had it, even as a teenager. I’m a runner and have upped my miles lately and do usually put basic sunscreen on my face but have never had an issue. Now my face is a mess. 😩

As an adult, Proactiv products worked very well for me.

Thank you so much! I’m seriously floored by all the recommendations. I love you Hip2Savers!

The first thing I would check out is Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Cleanser. I work at Ulta and I recommend this to all my adult acne clients. I would also recommend adding a lightweight moisturizer, if you aren’t already using one. Your skin produces more oil if it is cleansed but not moisturized.

Totally buying it. Thanks so much. It’s in stock at my local Ulta, too. Thanks!!!

My skin tends to break out when I’m exercising harder. It’s really important to wash your face right before AND after your run. You may want to swap sunscreens as well – I like ones with a physical block instead of a chemical block since it doesn’t sink into your skin. I like the face-formulated ones from La Roche Posay. You do have to get used to the white-ish glow they give you however!

Yes, I need to check out that sunscreen. THANKS SO much!!

Organic apple cider vinegar (with the “mother”). I use Braggs brand. It’s $6 for a glass bottle & is seriously the ONLY thing that has worked on my acne. I have oily, olive colored skin that is also prone to scarring and have suffered with moderate acne since a teen (now 36). I’ve tried all sorts of prescription meds, spent literally thousands on chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and expensive skin care products. Now, I wash with cetaphil (for oily skin) & use ACV as a toner after. Do not rise off. That is it! This product has seriously changed my life so much that I’m in tears about it.
Google ACV & acne, you’ll find all sorts of info about it. Hope that this helps someone.

Thanks Liz! I use Bragg ACV for other things, but have never thought of using it as a toner. I’m going to try it:)

I have used Bragg’s for other things, too… but never considered for my face! Ironically, my son came down with this HORRIBLE contagious rash and I treated it with Bragg’s (and 965 other things including EOs, but that’s another story). I drink shots during sick season but never on my face. Totally trying. Thanks!

I got rid of mine by only washing my face at night and regularly applying an oil free lotion. It works better than any prescription I have ever tried and Proactive (which almost ruined my face).

      • Brandy

        Definitely oil free lotion. Thanks!

I cleared my skin by cutting out soda and drinking more water. Paid nothing and actually saved money πŸ˜‰

      • Brandy

I only drink water… so will up the intake for sure. I definitely don’t drink as much as I should.

Try Apothederm Acne gel. I just received a postcard in the mail with a discount on their neck cream but I ordered the Acne and it worked!! You get $20 off. 20NECK. It’s printed on the card so anyone can use. It’s on their website. I get acne off and on I think it’s hormonal but this stuff works well for me. I only use it when I feel something coming on so its later me a while. I tried proactive it was good when I was younger but I think my skin has changed and it doesn’t work well for me anymore.

      • Brandy

Gonna try this if that Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Cleanser doesn’t work for sure. Thanks!

I send away for so many samples and seem to only receive about 1/2 of them. Also I get flooded with junk mail.
