On the fence? Check out this feedback from Angela…

I ordered the BOGO Plant Therapy Oil Set you were promoting a couple weeks ago and an additional roll-on of the Calming Child Oil. We’ve been having major issues with my daughter’s behavior lately – part of it is her age, part of it is all that she’s been through the past few years with my mother-in-law passing away, our cat passing away suddenly and then my Cancer treatment. That’s a lot for a little one to go through.

Anyways, I received the oils yesterday and it just so happened to arrive right when she was having an episode and I used the roller on the back of her neck and on her chest and I kid-you-not she was a completely different child like five minutes later. Even I was like whaaaat?

If you have any type of issues with anxiety or behavior challenges with your kids, I highly recommend these oils. I’m so happy to have found it and I will for sure order it again!

Anyone know if the night time one is safe to use on feet of a 6 month old? I use oil on myself but hesitant to start on the young one. Thanks

    • Ann

Not an expert but I think the recommendation is not to apply oils topically to kids that age. There is a facebook group dedicated to oil safety. Another place to look is https://www.learningabouteos.com/ . Plant Therapy says 2yrs and up.

    • Jill

Plant therapy recommends not using it until children are two.

    • April

Only the hot oils (peppermint, eucalyptus, clove etc) are to be avoided in any children. Generally the kid safe line is safe for any child but I would use caution. I used any and all oils on mine before I knew better. Thankfully nothing happened but it could have. Also I recommend diluting even more and only on the feet.

By the way we LOVE Plant Therapy and this kid safe line. We used to use doterra and this brand we prefer.

    • Plant Therapy

Hi Mandysfestival! The Nighty Night pre-diluted roll-on would be too high of a dilution to use with a 6 month old. You could purchase the undiluted version and some roll-on bottles and make your own though. For children that small, we recommend a dilution of 0.25-0.5% which would be about one drop of Nighty Night in a 10 ml roll-on bottle full of a carrier oil (we use Fractionated Coconut Oil in our roll-ons). Let me know if this helps and if you have any other questions.

      • Mandysfestival

Thanks for your reply! I’ve heard it’s OK in a diffuser so just didn’t know about the roll on. Thanks again

        • Plant Therapy

You are welcome. If you buy the roll-ons, you can simply just add more Fractionated Coconut Oil to dilute them more and use them that way. (If you don’t want to miss this deal!)

  2. Leslie R

Great testimony. I will have to try the calming oil on my child with anxiety! Thank you.

  3. Faith

Got it! I’ve been reading up on oils and been doing my homework on where I was going to start and this just gave me a jumpstart – ordered the kit for my son and am still debating on what I’m going to get for myself. I’d like to start some capsules as I’m on a weight loss journey, I just recently got a diffuser on a great deal but have no oils for it yet, and am looking forward to learning about some uses for my itchy dogs! Thanks Collin and team 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome Faith!

    • Ap

Hi Faith! We use a oils and diffusers in our house everyday. I get a lot of information on Pintrest for them (how to clean my diffuser, where to put the oils on my body to help with pain, which carrier oils to use, which oils to mix together for making lotions, body scrubs, and cleaning, etc). Hope that helps you on your oil journey 🙂

    • Plant Therapy

Welcome to the world of essential oils Faith! If you have any questions on where to get started, please feel free to email our Certified Aromatherapists at aromatherapist@planttherapy.com. Thanks!

    • Kami

For itchy dogs I use apple cider vinegar in a spray bottle, it really works for hot spots. It also calms the itching from mosquito, and flea bites. My Irish Setter is allergic to mosquitoes and this really works. It also helps with the stinky dog smell.

    • amy

Hey Faith! Using essential oils to stop cravings, boost moods, etc is awesome for weight loss! However, taking essential oils internally is not a good idea, no matter what brand.

      • Kimberly Fay

Which oils help for weight loss? Thank you!

        • dealhousewife

PT has a synergy called Munchy Stop. It’s to help with cravings. You can read more on the site, but it consists of the single oils: Dill, Bergamot, Grapefruit, Fennel, Ylang Ylang, Patchouli, Sandalwood. HTH 🙂
There’s also a couple blog posts on a DIY slimming gel and firming serum. maybe those could be helpful as well?

  4. erin

Does anyone know if you can reuse the bottles once they are empty?

    • Plant Therapy

Absolutely Erin! I personally prefer the roll-ons often. So I will buy the roll-ons, the undiluted ones and then Fractionated Coconut Oil. That way when my roll-on is empty, I just refill. The website will list the dilution so you can even make it using the same dilution you bought it at! Let me know if this helps!

  5. debora

Anyone use a set like this for adult? Wondering if it is too diluted for adult use. Sounds like a great way to get started

    • Yana

Ive been using for more than a year and the kidsafe line works perfect for me too. Most of my plant theraphy roll ons are from the kidsafe line. They are effective for kids and adults alike

      • debora

Thanks! Really appreciate your input. Going to give a try

    • Plant Therapy

Hi Debora, I personally use the pre-diluted roll-ons on myself all the time! The dilutions are perfect for adults and children.

  6. Lisa

My son has been struggling with concentration at school. Hopefully this EO will help him!

    • Plant Therapy

Lisa the A+ Attention is perfect for helping little ones focus at school. Just dab a little bit on the back of his neck and his wrists before school. Then if he feels himself not focusing, just have him sniff his wrists. It works great!

  7. Jennifer

says the code in not eligible

    • Plant Therapy

Jennifer make sure you choose the Pre-Diluted Roll-On set in the drop down. Then it should work!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Be sure to select the Pre Diluted option in the drop down box. I am still finding the code to work for me on that one 🙂

  8. Jennifer

this is the error I am getting Your basket is not eligible for the specified coupon.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi Jennifer! Be sure to select the Pre Diluted Roll On set! The code is still working for me on that one. Hope this helps!

  9. Jennifer

thank you did not know there was a drop down menu would help to read right lol

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      No worries! YW!

  10. tisha

I LOVE Plant Therapy oils, very high quality product, reasonably priced – I’ve been a customer for several years now, I would highly recommend them.

    • Plant Therapy

      Thanks Tisha!

  11. JR

So excited to see another Plant Therapy promo!! I have used both Young Living and DoTerra oils in the past and was thrilled to find Plant Therapy’s products to be every bit as high quality, but more affordable. I did your KidSafe BOGO promo in addition to ordering from PT on my own, and I have been very pleased with every purchase. Keep these promos coming… I’ll probably order every time one comes along!! LOL 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for such awesome feedback! Super glad to hear how pleased you have been with the Plant Therapy products! 😀

  12. Ashlie

Someone mentioned before that I could use the oils mixed with an oil or water in a coffee cup, and sit on top of one of those candle warmers for room use instead of a diffuser? Anyone tried or know what ratio I would use? I’m totally new to this and purchased the ‘Calm the Child’ to give it a try. But I don’t have a diffuser or roll-on.

    • Plant Therapy

Ashlie you can do that but it will mostly be for scent purposes and not as much therapeutic. A great way to diffuse the oil without a diffuser (I did it for 2 years until I bought one!), add 5-8 drops of Calming The Child to a medium size pan on the stove top on low to medium heat. This will diffuse the oils into the air. It really works great. You can also put a palm full of carrier oil (you can use any oil you have: Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, etc) and then put 1-2 drops of the Calming The Child and mix. Then you can apply that to you/your child’s back or back of neck.

Let me know if this helps and if you have any other questions!

  13. Ger

I recently discovered Plant Therapy Bc of the diffuser necklaces deal Collin posted. I LOVE their Kidsafe lines. My girls (8 & 4) LOVE when I massage them with the oils. I especially love using Calming the child for keeping them calm & helps them go to bed quicker & they are out for the night when I diffuse it. Also loving germ destroyer, & sniffle stopper wires Amazing to help clear them up with breathing. I bought diffuser bracelet & my daughter loves it for school. Once you start, you will be Hooked! You’ve been warned😜😂 Thanks Plant Therapy for your amazing EOs!!! 🙏🏼😍💞

    • Plant Therapy

      Thanks Ger!

  14. Rebecca

Thanks Collin & Plant Therapy! Excited to try these! I homeschool & think the Calming the Child will especially be helpful for my oldest. Will also try for hubby & myself, we both deal with anxiety/depression & since hubby tapered off antidepressants earlier this year, we’ve been trying an all natural vitamin/supplement plan, with little luck. I was just thinking last night what else we could try, great timing!

    • Plant Therapy

We have many customers that tell us we should also call it “Calming The Parent” 🙂 I think it will be very helpful!

  15. Christine

My grandson has been diagnosed with ADHD and the Dr has him on Ritalin, he just turned 8 last week, he is so hyper, he is on the go all day long and can most certainly out last me or any adult at night so would this be something that I could possibly use for him with this disorder?

    • Plant Therapy

Christine since he is under a doctor’s care, we always recommend checking with his doctor first. But yes, we have had a lot of customers who have had success with our A+ Attention and Calming The Child blends.

  16. Lesliek

What is the expiration on these rollers?

    • Plant Therapy

Hi Lesliek, Plant Therapy guarantees all of our products for 1 year but if stored in the refrigerator, they can last a lot longer than that!

  17. vmm

    Question for PLANT THERAPY REP:
When you “SUBSCRIBE,” how long of a time frame are you committing to? or are you free to cancel after a certain number of deliveries?

    Thanks so much!

    • Plant Therapy

Hi! You are free to cancel at anytime. You can also go to your preference center (link is in the bottom of our emails) and update your preferences to choose what emails you want to receive. Let me know if this helps!

      • vmm

yes, exactly what I was wondering. thanks.

  18. Jenna

LOVE PT and their kidsafe line. They’re all wonderful!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Awesome to hear that Jenna! Thanks for sharing!

  19. Jennie

I agree with the positive reviews. I had also been using YL. These are high quality oils and the company’s customer service is outstanding and they are willing to help with any questions you may have.

  20. PB

Can the “Calming the Child” and “A+ Attention” be used together at the same time?

    • Plant Therapy

They can be. We normally recommend they be used individually so you can tell if one is working better than the other for a specific need, but if you need both, they definitely can both be used at the same time.

    • Rosanne

PB, I use both Calming the Child and Attention A+ on my 7 year old each morning before school as he truly needs both, and they both help him a lot, better than just one or the other.

  21. J

Would all these be safe for a four year old?

    • Plant Therapy

Yes. All of our KidSafe oils (look for the KidSafe logo/stamp of approval) are safe to use with children 2-10.

  22. dealhousewife

I have all of these undiluted oils (well, i mixed my own Attention+ & Germ Destroyer;), FCO and rollerballs – love them!! 🙂

  23. Victoria W. C.

Are all these safe for a 5 year old?

    • Plant Therapy

Hi Victoria! All of Plant Therapy’s KidSafe oils are safe to use with children ages 2-10. These pre-diluted roll-ons found in this set are diluted to be safe to use with ages 2-10 as well!

  24. Tarah Sepelak

Hello Plant Therapy!! Are there any kid safe oils for cold sores?! TIA! 🙂

    • Plant Therapy

Hi Tarah! None of our KidSafe synergies were formulated specifically for cold sores but, we do have some single oils that are marked as KidSafe that could help. If you go to the website, hover over the KidSafe category in the top navigational bar and then click on the singles to find all of the single oils that are also KidSafe.

Let me know if this helps!

  25. Dee

Can I use the BOGO deal posted the other day together with this?

    • Plant Therapy

Hi Dee! Coupon codes cannot be combined so you would have to complete two separate transactions. But yes, you can get both deals!

  26. Ashlie

If I use ‘Calm the Child’, how frequently can I apply it to my child? 6 years old. And is it the scent of the oil that creates the calming effect? Or is it something in the oil itself when applied directly to skin? I’m totally new to this.

    • Plant Therapy

Hi Ashlie! You could really apply it as often as needed. However, if you are going to be applying it 3+ times a day on a regular basis, we would recommend you dilute it a bit more (to like 1%). But otherwise, just go ahead and use it when needed. And it is both: the scent and from topical use. For emotional concerns, the biggest help is by inhaling the oil (scent). But you will get benefit from topical use too.

Let me know if this helps!

  27. savershappy

What would be the best oil for sinus and alleries (kids & adults alike)?

    • dealhousewife

Sniffle Stopper & Sneezy Stop are great blends for these issues. They are kid safe and effective for adults as well. you can read the info listed under each synergy on PT’s website. 🙂 HTH

    • Plant Therapy

Hi Savershappy! dealhousewife is correct. Our Sniffle Stopper is for respiratory concerns caused from an illness and our Sneezy Stop is for seasonal concerns such as allergies. Using these oils in personal aromatherapy inhalers work amazing. We also have some recipes on our blog that you can get more usage ideas!

Let me know if this helps!

  28. Jennifer

I found this site ships extremely slow. I have not received an order from weeks ago and have not gotten any responses from customer service.

    • dealhousewife

Sorry to hear that. I would suggest to contact CS to see what may have happened. i’ve been ordering from PT for almost 2 years now and i’ve found that they are always pretty quick in shipping. & their CS always rocks! 🙂

    • Plant Therapy

      Hi Jennifer,

Our free shipping in the U.S. should take anywhere from 3-7 days depending on where you are in the states. If you are in the United States and it has been over a week since you received your order, it must have been lost in shipping. Please email me directly at retha@planttherapy.com and I would be happy to get this taken care of for you immediately. Thanks!

  29. Aleshia

    To the plant therapy rep:
do you apply all of the oils to the back of the neck and wrists or do different oils go to different areas?
The other question I have is how long until they wear off? My son has a hard time sitting still and concentrating especially his math class which is his last class of the day and right after PE. Will this last all day?
I am brand new to oils and just purchased my first diffuser and oils from my local natural grocers. Any advice and tips would be helpful. Not sure what is okay to mix and not mix and how much of each? So overwhelmed!

    • Sarah

You can apply the oils different places. I apply Doterra’s version of the attention one (Intune) to the bottom of my 5 year old’s feet before I put his socks on. You can also put it behind ears or a long the spine but I really feel like the smell is intensely strong so I prefer the feet, plus that’s a good place for oils anyway. I think it’d be better if you could put it on twice a day but I see it as something is better than nothing. But when I put on peppermint for my headaches or something I put it straight on my forehead or behind my ears. I think it depends if you are using it aromatically by smell or just by contact to soak in.

    • Plant Therapy

Hi Aleshia! You can apply them mostly anywhere. For emotional or mental concerns, the best help is by inhaling the oils so you will want to apply it somewhere where your child can inhale the oils easiest. I personally prefer the back of the neck and wrists but that is just a personal preference. You can also (depending on the age of your child) use a personal aromatherapy inhaler. These can be taken to school and they can simply inhale when needed.

Since essential oils are volatile (meaning they evaporate quickly) it usually won’t last all day. But applying it 2-3 times a day should be plenty.

And please feel free to email Plant Therapy’s Certified Aromatherapists at aromatherapist@planttherapy.com. We are more than happy to answer any questions you have! We also have a blog that can be found on our website and we have many DIY and usage ideas there.

Let me know if this helps!

  30. Melanie

I absolutely love these essential oil blends! My order always is at my house within days of ordering. Thank you Colin for the referral to plant therapy

    • Plant Therapy

      Thanks Melanie!

  31. Irene

My husband was recently diagnosed with cancer. He has lymphoma and I have been researching ways to improve his immunity after his chemo. Any advice on using any of the oils for that? Thank you.

    • Sarah

Frankincense is expensive (if you find it cheap it’s not pure) but it is great for cancer. Onguard is a Doterra product that is an immunity blend. I use this oil in a diffuser to help with germs in the air, and I also use their foaming hand soap to kill germs on your skin naturally. My kids tend to bring home less sicknesses since I’ve been using oils. (Google certified therapeutic grade oils- much better results than just the scent of them that are sold in stores)

    • Plant Therapy

      Hi Irene,

I recommend emailing Plant Therapy’s Certified Aromatherapists at aromatherapist@planttherapy.com. If your husband is going through chemotherapy right now, you will want to be especially careful with essential oils but there are things that you/he can do.

You can also email me directly at retha@planttherapy.com (I am one of Plant Therapy’s Certified Aromatherapists) and I would be happy to answer any questions you have. Thanks!

  32. Carrie S

I am so excited that you been posting these deals. I’ve recently become a lover of Essential Oils and after tons of research I came to the conclusion that the Plant Therapy brand was the way to go. They have fair prices for a trust worthy, safe and good quality product. Shortly after buying my first starter kit from them you started posting these deals for the kid safe products and I’m over the moon about it. Thank you

    • Plant Therapy

      Thanks Carrie!

  33. Grace

Please do your research before using any oils. You want to check that the oils have purity to them and that they are safe. So many companies have jumped on this bandwagon with essential oils that you really need to know what you are getting when you open the bottle. I have been successfully using oils on myself, my children, my husband and even on my pet for over 3 years now. I use doTerra oils because of the purity, quality and integrity that the company gives. These oils will now have the gc/ms on each bottle so you can go on their website and check the lot of your bottle and see exactly what Gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC-MS) is your bottle. This information is very important to aromatherapists. Also, many of the doTerra oils are safe to take internally and safe on babies. I have friends who use them on their newborns and it works like a charm.

Essential oils have many uses to them. I got hooked on them when I tried a sample of Oregano oil that removed a wart (and after three years the wart did NOT come back!) No kidding, that is when I knew those little bottles were powerful.

doTerra might be more pricey (and this is such a great “savings” page) but it really is worth the money and if you sign up for your own membership you can get different perks with it such as “free oil of the month” and you can get points back to eventually turns into free money for free oils. So please do your research in which oils you should give a try.

    • Plant Therapy

Hi Grace! So glad to hear your love for essential oils and all the success you have had!

Plant Therapy is a trusted brand of essential oils. We only sell the highest quality essential oils that are 100% pure, undiluted and free from any additives. We offer batch specific GCMS reports directly on our website that can be compared to the batch codes found on every bottle you purchase from Plant Therapy. Every oil is organoleptically tested by Robert Tisserand before being sent to multiple third party laboratories to have GCMS reports ran. This is done on every single batch of oil. You can learn more about our quality control procedures on our website under the ‘Quality’ tab. We also have 6 Certified Aromatherapists on staff who review every single oil that we receive and who can answer any questions a newbie (or experienced user) might have. And every KidSafe® synergy was formulated by world renowned essential oil safety expert Robert Tisserand! Please let us know if you have any questions about Plant Therapy and thanks for sharing your success and love of using essential oils!

    • dealhousewife

Grace, I would absolutely echo doing your research before jumping on the bandwagon – of Anything. EOs are great & helpful, but can also cause a whole slew of ailments if used improperly, especially repeatedly. (even if you don’t find out until many uses later) i like that saying, ‘once you know better, you do better’. 🙂 that said, i believe PT oils to be every bit as pure & safe as DT (or YL). and PT has great integrity too. I love that there’s an accessible team of knowledgeable, certified aromatherapists that are always there to help, vs the MLM model of reps just telling people what’s “safe” to do. not everyone should ingest oils. not every infant should have oils topically (especially neat!). (not to mention that diluting the oils makes it last longer, thus saving $$ 😉 ) PT also has a rewards system. when you create an account, you earn points on purchases, that you can later redeem for money off. no need for a membership or rep. 🙂 and always free shipping! plus, you can pay through PayPal too.
We all want what is best for our families, but we have to decide what that is – hopefully through enough research to make an educated decision, whatever that is.
here’s a great Q&A link (with Robert T) to help anyone on their oil journey: https://wegotreal.com/essential-oil-concerns-robert-tisserand/
And another link on ingesting that’s full of helpful info: https://www.planttherapy.com/blog/2014/01/14/can-essential-oils-be-ingested/
And another one on EOs & children: https://www.learningabouteos.com/index.php/2014/02/07/essential-oils-and-children/
I hope these are helpful for anyone wanting to find out more.
*Also, there is a lot of information on PT’s blog (on their website), which is searchable to help find what you’re looking for.

    • art

Grace, any company that suggests you take oil internally and on babies should be scrutinized intensely. Ugh, and don’t get me started on putting a drop in your mascara.

Reading a pamphlet does not a professional make.

  34. Amanda M

Thanks, just snagged a set. I have high hopes that this could be the solution, to cranky overtired kids no going to bed on time and our family being sick every single Christmas!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome Amanda!

    • Plant Therapy

Hi Amanda! So glad you snagged a set. Please let us know if you have any questions on how to use the oils or the best oil to use in what situation. Feel free to email our Certified Aromatherapists at aromatherapist@planttherapy.com with any questions you might have. Enjoy!

  35. Kimberly Fay

Hi, How long is this offer available and also what is the best formula for lice prevention? Do you have anything for that? Thank you!!

    • dealhousewife

I’ve heard that just adding tea tree to shampoo/a hair spray works for a preventive. PT has an oil synergy called Get ‘Em Gone that is for lice – getting rid of them and for prevention. it consists of the single oils – Palmarosa, Cedarwood Atlas, Citronella, Tea Tree, Geranium Bourbon, Marjoram and Coriander. you can read more info on it on their site. i also see that they now have a (nit-free) comb for purchase too. HTH

  36. Patricia

Oh no I missed the locket necklace deal that was posted a few weeks ago. Would definitely order them if another deal comes up.love the rose and silver, they would be great gifts too. I will be watching for any deals coming up for them.

    • Ap

      Me too 🙁
But I got the 2 recent deals 🙂

  37. M Stouffer

Is this deal expired? I followed the link and it shows the code but when I enter it, it doesn’t work, I get the message invalid coupon code. I don’t see an expiration date listed above and Hip2save is pretty good about updating expired posts. I hope it’s not expired as I was just about to place an order.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yes. This deal has ended. Bummer! 🙁
