Lol if all these stacks work without a hitch then IIIIII will be the next president, that’s how much of a miracle it would be trying to get 870 coupons past the cashier. Good Luck

    • mittenonthefarm

Yep I agree too. My Target used to be awesome to coupon at. Since the new system change, none of these deals go as they used to. It’s so frustrating!

  2. Meg

Agreed! My target will no longer allow duplicate coupons in one transaction.

  3. Bethany

I am not a coupon person who buys tons of Sunday papers. Once you factor in the cost of all those papers, it’s not as good of a deal. I stick with free internet coupons. Multiple coupons, cartwheel, Ibotta, etc never goes as planned and it’s totes frustrating.

    • Kelly

      Internet coupons aren’t free. Ink + paper = $$$.
Don’t discredit those Sunday papers so quickly. I get my Sunday papers delivered for 50 cents each. I save more than enough to make it worth my while. And one year subscription to the paper costs less than one ink cartridge!

      • sue

It costs $50.00 for a year subscription to the Sunday only paper where I live, and you are expected to give the driver a Christmas card with money.

  4. TheDealGetterRN

Thank you!!! I work in long term care where we get +50 Sunday papers, lots of residents donate their coupons to staff as a thank you. I’m sure our facility pets would love some treats! & for 4cents- AWESOME!!! Thanks again

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome!

Even if you don’t have pets, this would be a great thing to do and then donate all the supplies to a local pet shelter. Most shelters and sorely underfunded and this would definitely be appreciated not just by the people running the shelter (often volunteers) but by the dogs and cats there as well.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Such a great suggestion! Thanks for sharing! 😉

2 San Diego Targets have taped shut the coupon slots on their self checkout machines! This is ridiculous, they say its because of coupon fraud but honestly with the new barcodes on coupons that is supposed to be greatly reduced. I hate this so much, I love going in getting what I need and checking out super quickly at self checkout. Now I have to wait forever in a regular line because despite having about 20 registers they feel the need to only have 2 cashiers working, the registers always create problems or people want price checks and then when I finally get to pay for the 3-10 things in my cart I have to wait while the cashier stares at my coupons for 5 minutes before scanning them.

    • sue

I thought mine was the only one with 2 cashiers. Mine does not have self checkouts. I don’t really like target. Yesterday there was an employee complaining, and degrading another employee. They were unloading pallets and he was just almost yelling about how the night guy doesn’t do his job right. He put some wrong thongs on a pallet etc… I bet the night guy did not do it on purposes but If i was the night guy and knew that the day guy was that much of a jerk i’d do it on purpose. I don’t really like people.

I went to Target yesterday to return a toy my son had received as a birthday present (he already had it) and 2 packs of swim diapers. They told me without a receipt, they were not going to give me store credit….. did I miss something in the new policy?

    • Queenjen87

They’ve always had a pretty horrible no receipt return policy. I’ve found Walfart does have a good one and if a gift needs to be returned without a receipt I do it there then fill up gas at SAMs club sense I don’t shop there.

      • Christine

        Walfart, that is funny:)

    • sue

Toys r us used to be worse even with a reciept. It was terrible. The stories I could tell.

  8. lindak

Even without coupons this isn’t a bad deal as it’s like getting 25% off of food and litter. The meow mix wet food my grand-cats like only has coupons once in a while, so I’ll be stocking up. Litter, not so much, it’s easier to get good deals. One of my Targets has a couponer who has been a cashier for at least 20 years or so – I love it when I can find her.

  9. Kathy

I understand the issues from all perspectives . It is becoming increasingly had to save a dollar with coupons. Between the tv shows and folks like ” coupon Bob” at my local Target. My husband and I are old disabled people and we take a long time to get our coupons to help pay for what we absolutely need and use each month. No stockpile or donating because we don’t have money for that on social security. I just wish there was some way to make it without everything we try ,like coupons ect either being abused by a few or store policy and so on. Thanks for letting me state that and of corse only my opinion . Bless you all .

  10. Puchi

I found BOGO coupon on the 12 pk Cesar.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Sweet find!

  11. Cheryl

Ooo where is that BOGO coupon found? What an awesome find! 😀

  12. Christine

I wish my dog could eat these items, he is on a grain free diet and has been on Taste of the Wild by Diamond for 2 yrs now, there is never a coupon to be found for this, a 15 lb bag runs anywhere from $28 – $35 based on which store I get it from

    • Elaine

Taste of the Wild had sent me coupons before from their website. Might want to look into that

  13. PSantos

Oh WOW! I LOVE the list of available pet food/treats coupons. Thanks to the hip2save team!

  14. Dalia Gonzalez

What do you mean “will deduct $2.76 (assuming coupons will be rounded down to 69¢ – item price after Target coupons)”?
