So If I wanted to take a one day trip. And this is only a one way flight would I need to buy tickets for point A to point B and then buy another set of tickets for the same same day from point b back to point a?

    • Lauri

      Yes!

    • Kristin

If you want to get back home.

Anyone else having a hard time looking for flights? It keeps on giving me a 505 error

    • Erica (Silly Sidekick)

Bummer… can you try in a different browser? It seems to be working fine for me… I hope that helps!

I’m not one to talk crap about companies, but my parents just flew with Frontier and had the worst experience EVER! They lost their bags on the way there AND the way home! And because they don’t use proper equipment they had no idea where they were. They wouldn’t compensate my parents or give them their money back. They did eventually get them their bags, but it was 5 days later! And they blamed the delivery company for loosing, etc, etc. I’m sorry, but I would not recommend them no matter how cheap their flights are. They were horrible!!!

Thanks for your honesty. You have saved me a possible headache.:)

I’m not discounting what you’re saying, as any airline can good, but I’ve had several good experiences with Frontier. It’s definitely no frills (you get what you pay for) but it is an inexpensive way to get around.

      • Casey

        *any airline can goof up.

        • Bonnie

I TOTALLY get what your saying, but it was the way the treated them and the complete run around they got. Their trip was only a week long and they didn’t have bags for 5 of those days! Imagine having nothing except what you had in your carry on (which I believe they paid extra for) and the clothes you had on. No medication or contact stuff, etc. And Frontier only gave them a small amount of money for an extra pair of clothes. And the fact they lost them again on the way home seals it. That’s just bad customer service and communication! No matter how cheap it is.

I agree. We have flown United 4 times and each time have had odd things go on. Once a man had a stroke and we waited 45 minutes for an emt to take him off one we landed. Then we landed so hard the air masks fell. Our flight was delayed and all of our luggage (including our carry ons bc they wouldn’t let us carry them on for some reason) was waiting for the plane. We were left with no diapers, extra clothes, anything and it was 48 hours before they could get us on a different flight. They wouldn’t give us a hotel or food. We’ve flown frontier since and love it!

I just flew frontier 2 weeks ago and was extremely impressed by them considering they’re a discount airline. I’ve had many airlines lose my bags. It always takes a week or so to get them.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh darn! So sorry to hear about their experience! Thanks so much for the honest feedback!

I know there are horror stories about t frontier but we had an amazing experience twice last month. We had super friendly workers and we had no issue putting our children into their car seats on both flights. The whole process was super smooth. We were so thankful.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh good! Thanks for sharing Rachel! Happy to hear your trip was so smooth! 😉

It might only be (based on Denver flights) around $40 each way but if your planning on bringing anything more than your purse and the clothes on your back (I have known ppl to double up on clothes and stuff their coats full of belongings lol.) then besides your typical fees/taxes you must add $40+ per bag incld. carry on. I personally only fly Southwest. I find deals all the time for $150/$300 to basic places like MN, KC, or TX. Then I get to bring all my kids junk, strollers, clothes etc. Plus our own bag and have had almost no hassle with them ever. Free tix for delayed flights, and money bk for a luggage delay that was a HUGE deal on a Fl. vacation. No other Airline and I mean NO OTHER has been so great as they have.

  6. Heather

Thank you so much for making me aware of this deal! I had just started looking for flights for my daughter to come home from college for a visit in October. This is a huge savings for us!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re so welcome Heather!

  7. Karin

I have flown with them and like Bonnie, we did not have a good experience. We fly a few times a month and we will never ever consider flying on them again. My husband says he will consider it if they pay him as even a free ticket wouldn’t be enough to consider it.

  8. Margie

Which flights are 20$ flying from o’hare in Chicago?! Can’t find them…

  9. Kristen

For the past five years I’ve flown internationally for mission trips but always with a group, and usually private. This spring is my first domestic personal vacation trip so what airline do y’all recommended? I’m thinking delta or United? I’ve had a bad experience with both but then again, we always have trouble getting to and from Central America anyway 🙁 honest opinions?

    • S

If southwest is an option, I would 100% fly with them. The way they treat their customers, from my experience at least, is unparalleled in the industry. I’ve also had good luck with United, but don’t feel as valued by them when I fly. Whatever you choose, enjoy your vacation (:

      • Kristen

Thanks for the feedback! I’ll definitely check in to southwest!
