I need to buy gifts for my two friends’ babies this Christmas. I don’t have any children. What gifts are good for a 12 month old? One is a boy and one is a girl and they’re very good friends so I’ll probably spend $20 or $25 on their gifts. They’re both second children, so they have plenty of clothes, blocks and books. I know what I’m getting their older children, but the young ones have me stumped.

Emily, my kids at that age liked toys they could push while they are first learning to walk…a toy stroller, activity walker of some sort.

Thanks April, that is really helpful.

I agree about toys that you can walk behind for 12 months. Another great toy is beat bo. It is around $35 but you can find a sale and get it in the price you want. My 18 month got it around 1 year and loves it. My 4 year old also loves it. Other ideas are tool sets or the laugh and learn chair or fisher price little people

This toy is one of my worst purchases as far as toys go. I spent less than five dollars on it and still regret it. It is too heavy for a baby to play with, and it does not actually roll on its own they have to roll it. And it is not entertaining for any baby that is past a crawling stage and even then it is not a toy that they are drawn to ) in my experience at least)
