I have this car seat, and I absolutely love it! I’m about to buy another one for my son! Babies R Us also has their car seat event right now, where you can trade in an old car seat and get 25% off a new one, and that brings this car seat down to 225

Happy to hear how much you like this one Chris! Thanks for sharing!

How wide or narrow is this? Is it as wide as an infant seat or wider?

Anyone ever seen this for a lower price? My son has almost outgrown his infant seat but I’m wondering if it ever goes under 200?

    • Janell

I’m wondering the same thing. I prob won’t need it until next summer, but didn’t know if this was a good buy or if it ever got better.

I got it for cheaper than this at Target last year around Black Friday! But it could have been just a lucky thing and I stacked it with SYW 30% back and got a $50 Target gc. Don’t remember exactly how much I paid but I think around $180, and with the 30% back in points and gc was under $100. We like it but I feel that our recaro is a little sturdier and safer. We use this one most of the time though because we love the cupholders, which our recaro doesn’t have!

OMG looks like that baby is forward facing! Lol why would they do that?!

    • Andrea

I thought the same in the beginning, but the headrest you see is the back of the driver side. Look over the babies head and you will see the driver’s side mirror. =)

It’s so funny the rules now. I have 4 kids; 8, 5, 3, youngest turned 1 today. I think all the kids had different car seat rules. My oldest 2 were rear facing until 1, the third was 1 or 2 we were able to pick. Now the youngest is rear facing until 2. I have so many dumb carseats I could open up shop and sell them. We are trying to figure out which one to get for rear facing that is not an infant one. I do not want an all in one. Anyone ever realize the huge suburban can’t have a car seat in the third row? Only boosters? There is no latch system. Fyi.

It’s not so much “rules” as it is advice from advanced research on car seat safety. I’m grateful for the knowledge that we have now. My oldest is 5 and he was rear facing until 3.5. This information has actually been around for a while. Although the law in some states is to rear face until 2, it’s really safest to keep them rear facing until they outgrow the rear facing limits of the car seat (according to the manual, not just that they have to cross their legs).

Latch only works until a certain weight (usually about 50lbs, check your manual) and then you can do a seatbelt install on the seat, equally safe installed properly.

We bought this seat a year and a half ago for this price from baby’s r us. We LOVE it! This seat is super easy to install and adjust the straps. No crazy unthreading and retreading, just pull the handle at the top. It is just as easy to recline or sit up straighter. Works beautifully rear and forward facing. The padding is comfy, so no hard plastic induced sore bums after long car rides. Cupholders are positioned at an easily accessible angle, which is a major bonus. We have a minivan so I can’t say how it fits in smaller vehicles but it works great for us. Well worth the investment. Obviously I highly recommend it!

Sweet! Good to know how easy it is to install and adjust! Thanks for the great feedback Lacey! I sure do appreciate it!

We replaced a convertible car seat that was in an accident with this one. We LOVE this one so much. So worth the price.

Happy to hear how much you like it! Thanks for the great review!

    Where is the 10% coupon?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hmm, I am still finding the coupon available for me, highlighted in green, when I click through. Are you on a mobile device? If not, maybe try it in a different browser. Hope this helps!
