What makes it Halloween litter? Is it Orange & black?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi Sue! It has a Halloween themed picture on the label, just as shown in the picture above. 🙂

    • Tracy J

I bought it. Bummed it’s not pumpkin spice cat littler. 😉

  2. Chelsea

It is pumpkin spice scented?LOL. I think it’s just the outside packaging that makes it Halloween. 😀

    • Michelle

      Lol

  3. K

Please be mindful that lightweight litters are horrible for cats! 🙁

    • jennifer

      wait- what?? why?!

  4. Gina

I tried the lightweight litter a few months ago and it was terrible. I ended up throwing it all out, emptying his litterbox, and putting the regular scoopable tidy cats back in. It smelled bad and didn’t absorb anything.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn! Sorry to hear it did not work well Gina! Thanks for the feedback!

    • jennifer

Yeah, I’m not sold on lightweight, other than it makes it easier for my 10yo to do the litterbox (one of her chores). Still way dusty, and the SMELL! It’s so strong! (The only one that doesn’t is the Instant Action. But the Glade one?! HOOOOO BOY!!! *blech*)
I contacted Tidy Cats, and they were like, OH, WE’VE NEVER GOTTEN THAT COMPLAINT! So sorry, here’s some coupons. *snort*

There is a $0.75 off coupon at coupons .com

It can’t be any worse then that garfield litter, or fresh step. That fresh step ruined my new house it was a box of dust. I put it in and had a dust mess i’m still cleaning up from 2 months later.

    • Lori

I thought i was the only one that didnt like that garfield litter. One of my cats hated it so much he peed everywhere BUT the litterbox! I’ll stick with Tidy Cats litter.

    • Veronica

LOL. I didn’t like the Garfield litter either. When I cancelled my subscription, a few days ago, the rep was really surprised to hear I wasn’t satisfied. The entire litter clumped together into the shape of the litter box after just a couple of days. Rep didn’t believe me and said that I was the first person to ever make that kind of complaint.

    • Erica

I like Fresh Step, but the regular one not the lightweight.

  7. mommanoze

Just my 2 cents. I have 2 siamese cats and I’ve tried every litter out there. The best buy far for me has been the Special Kitty brand sold by Walmart. No dust, clumps perfectly and the clumps don’t fall apart when you scoop. 40lbs is about 10 bucks.

    • Erica

Mommanoze, I also like this litter. It is great! I only buy other brands when there is a good deal or promotion. If no deal, I just go to Walmart.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for sharing your experience! Good to know!

  8. Casey

Remember, even if you don’t have cats this would make a good shelter donation!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Such a great idea Casey! Thanks for the suggestion! 😉

  9. Pat

Why is it horrible for my cat?

    • K

It’s so lightweight it sticks to their fur, causing them to risk ingesting or inhaling it. There have been several cases where cats have died. 🙁

  10. Chris

I’ve been waiting for a litter deal but I am not a fan of the lightweight litter, it would get everywhere and stick to the kitties and get everywhere the kitties went. Made it easy to figure out kitties were going on counter tops when we weren’t home though..LOL

  11. Casey

I’ve tried a million litters and will only go with Scoop Away. I wish they would put out coupons more than once per year.

    • llc

I agree. I am a Scoop Away user and wont switch because I have not had an issues with it. Keep the litter about 4 inches deep and you never smell my litter box. I clean it out about once a week and have 2 cats (but they go outside during the day).

  12. TN

You can also use litter for ice, chemical spills or destruction of medication.

  13. BarbaraY

I personally love the arm and hammer clump and seal.
