Anyone know if these cookies are good? My little brother is deployed so I try to keep goodies going his way. These are much cuter than my decorating skills lol, but even with the discount still seem quite pricey

I have ordered them before and everyone loved them!!! Really good! Awesome idea for your brother!

    • Ashley

i think the best benefit for you would be that they are all individually wrapped so they might stay fresher longer than you baking cookies and having the couple of days it takes for him to receive them. Homemade cookies usually start to taste a little different by day 3ish

      • Adrian

I disagree with you. I would go the home-made route instead. Home-made cookies packaged in foodsaver bags. I do this regularly and my friends and family always say they taste like fresh baked and fresher than any pre-packaged store bought cookies.

They are pretty, but I can’t say I enjoyed *eating* them. They are sugar bombs–the icing is nearly as thick as the cookie, and the icing is that dry, sugary, concrete type. They didn’t have much flavor beyond the sugar, in my opinion, but I tend to think most things are over-sweetened. I’m betting that someone will eat them, though! 😉

They’re ok. Not like they used to be when it was a local individually owned company, now taste different and smaller. However, they are individually wrapped and freeze fine.

    • Adrian

I have never tasted these cookies, but I have tasted lots of cookies that people rave about and am always let down. I love to bake so I always feel like I can make a better tasting cookie. If I was on the recieving end I would rather cookies taste very good(even if they don’t look the best), rather than get some beautifully decorated cookies that taste so-so. Bake your own cookies and do your best at decorating, I’m sure the effort would be appreciated. Package cookies in foodsaver bags and send them to your little brother. If you don’t already have a foodsaver then I will admit it is a pricey investment but your brother will surely appreciate it(you can use it for stuff at home too).

    • Adrian

I forgot to say to have you thank your brother for his service. I sincerely appreciate it.

      • Karla

What a kind thing to say! Yes, please thank your brother for his service!

  2. Micki

    They are!

Can you use the groupon with the trick or treat bag deal?

  4. Nora

Can I use Groupon for shipping?

  5. Sarah

I used groupon on this and it covered shipping!

  6. Jenny

Yes, you can usually use the groupon to cover the shipping! I did this a few weeks ago, paid $15 shipped for a special half off bucket. It was a great deal! I think the cookies are delicious!

    • Tiggy

So, for the $15 cost of the Groupon, you could get this offer for no additional money since the cookies and shipping are under $30??

  7. Melissa Rice

These cookies are pretty and well packaged but absolutely horrible in taste. They are all super loaded with sugar and don’t have any distinctive flavor. Definitely not worth the price.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn! Sorry to hear you did not care for them Melissa! 🙁 Thanks so much for the honest feedback!

  8. Jen

I had a $30 Groupon and was $26.98 with shipping so it covered it all

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Great score Jen!

  9. Sandra

I love these cookies. And you can freeze them so you don’t have to rush through them all! 😉

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Awesome to hear that Sandra! Thanks for the tip!

  10. alydia P

use code “BONUS” for $1.50 off the groupon!

  11. Marie

The code ” BONUS” isn’t working for me! Any other promo codes available???

  12. Debbie P.

i have had the WORST experience with Groupon/Cheryls… had to talk to 5 different reps when they charged my credit card and the Groupon EACH for the total order!! Took so long to correct and the shipping is expensive and takes FOREVER to come.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh bummer! So sorry to hear that Debbie! Thanks for sharing your experience!
