I used to work for them, it isn’t necessary. It is a lot like the extended warranty on a leaf blower or a karaoke machine (the odds are very slim you will ever use it). Plus your money is already insured through your bank .

Can you tell me how long they take to come in the mail?

What’s the difference between the single box of regular checks and the single box of duplicate checks??
The duplicate checks make a carbonless copy of the check.
I find it to be worth the extra cost to save time when checking out. With a duplicate check you can see how much you wrote the check for, who you made the check out to and the date because it records it on a piece of paper behind the check. If you choose single checks you would need to write that information down again in a register.

The carbonless check paper automatically records every transaction onto the plain paper to create a permanent reference copy.
