Ahhhh!!! It was BerenSTEIN!!!! I know it because as a teacher I always had to check how I said it when I read it to my classes! I even said out loud numerous times how I wasn’t quite sure how to pronounce it. Seriously! I would never question how to pronounce “STAIN”.

These are great books, and what a great deal! I have my Berenstain bear books from my youth, the 1980s, and I resurrected them once I heard the Berenstain/Berenstein debate, and, much to my surprise, they do in fact spell it Berenstain! I would have bet my life otherwise and was completely floored to see the actual spelling.
My 5 year old just got into these books about a month ago… This will be perfect for Christmas for her. Thanks!
