For a limited time, Norwegian Cruise Lines is offering up Sail Away Rates – the lowest cruise fares available for select inside, oceanview, balcony and mini-suite staterooms.

As an idea, a 3-Day Bahamas Cruise that leaves from Miami and has a FREE Open Bar, starts at just $159 per person. Or, book a 10-Day South America Cruise from Buenos Aires starting at only $289 per person – that is just $29 per day!

How expensive is food on the 3 day?

It is possible to eat only food that is included. There are up charge areas as well. We typically eat only the included food and love it. Have not been on Norwegian but have been on Carnival, Royal Caribbean, etc.

It’s free – cruise ships have free restaurants. They also have a few nice restaurants that you can pay for as well.

My husband and I have traveled on three cruises all aboard Norwegian cruise lines. We highly recommend their amenities, services and and ‘free style’ dining. In fact we are planning another cruise fro next year with the kids and plan on choosing Norwegian again.

How cool! Glad to hear you have had such great experiences with Norwegian! Thanks for the awesome review!

I’ve been on a few Norwegian cruises. Nightmare!! I wouldn’t recommend it! If you have never been before, you might not know the difference. Food is ok. You don’t have to pay the extra to eat in the specialty restaurants. We were on one that had 800 followers of an ’80’s grunge band. They ran the boat out of alcohol, Used the stage, so we had no shows, monopolized the pools and hot tubs, only wanted Vegan food, so that is what the Buffet had, dressed badly, and were very messy, throwing empty bottles down everywhere. I blame Norwegian for not warning us about that.

Oh bummer! Very sorry to hear about that Diane. Thanks so much for the honest feedback!

We went on NCL to Alaska last year. We have been quite a few places but it was our favorite vacation. Just loved it!

    TOTAL 2 GUESTS $ 578.00
    GOV’T TAXES, FEES & PORT EXPENSES $648.04
    TOTAL$1,226.04

Is that a normal amount for the tax?

A friend recently went to Europe. The taxes, fees, etc were more than the airline tickets…by about 30%, if I remember correctly. It’s really insane!
