    Is this movie funny?

    • MomofTwins

If you saw the movie trailer, you saw the funny parts. I liked it and plan on buying it on Black Friday…I imagine it will be on sale then.

    • Brandy

My mom took my kids and said it was boring. Apparently the only funny parts are part of the trailer. I have a few girlfriends who agreed.

      • Karen

I’m a 30 yo woman, and I saw it at the theaters with my husband, our 8yo twin boys, 7yo daughter, 50yo father, 15 and 13yo sisters. We all really liked it and found it to be very funny and quite sweet.

We also have numerous pets so perhaps that made a difference. But I haven’t heard of anyone I know say it was disappointing.

    • Katie

No. My 7 year old daughter thought it was boring. Best parts were the trailer. We won’t be buying it.

      • Julie

It was absolutely terrible. My 9 and 5 year olds completely lost interest and the whole plot was strange. I mean the main characters claimed to kill their humans.

    • Workaholic

All the funny parts were in the trailer. It was an okay movie.

    • Carol_R

It’s fantastic. I’ve seen it twice in the theater. Best movie I’ve seen in years.

  2. Alex

I also saw that review before seeing the movie, BUT we enjoyed it – my 3.5 yo, husband and I

  3. Judy

I thought it was adorable, but my husband kept comparing it to toy story; well story line or feel of it. I thought it was better than expected, I wasn’t thrilled by the trailer at first at all.

  4. Angie

Very cute movie. My 17 year old & her boyfriend loved it, my mom loved it, I loved it & my two youngest loved it (7 & 9 year olds). Funny relatable moments for pet owners πŸ˜‰

  5. Tammy

My kids (9 yrs old) and nephew (7 yrs old) liked it a lots. We think it’s funny but that was just our opinion 😊

  6. rtsymom

Loved it!! 😍 Buying it for hubby and me … since our son is already grown. The animal’s personalities tend to remind you of people or pets you have in your life. 🐢🐱

  7. Sarakate25

    We loved it

  8. Joann

Not for little kids. Read reviews on common sense media. The 2 families I know that saw it did not have anything good to say about it.

    • Karen

      It’s fine for little kids

    • Julie

Yes the claim that main characters killed their humans is too much for younger children in my opinion.

  9. Rachel

While I agree the trailer showed some of the best moments my husband and I enjoyed the whole movie. I am looking forward to buying it!

  10. Miranda

I agree that the trailer has the best parts. I was completely taken back when the main characters were trying to hide in the sewer with the neglected pets and to show that they were tough they said they killed their owners. I know it’s just a movie, but could they not come up with something a little less violent. They know small children will want to watch it.

  11. Janet

My kids and I thought it was good. They will be showing it in Mjr theatres free for the kids and $1 for adults in a few wks in case someone wants to see it before they buy it.

  12. sharon

I didnt care for this movie at all. I would say unless your children can understand whats ok and not ok. I would not let them watch this movie. So many not ok parts in it. The first part is cute but then near the middle it just gets weird. I wouldnt take this movie if it was free.

  13. Carolin

Such a great movie. Our whole family saw it and we loved it. We loved coming home to our sweet boy (dog) after watching the movie. Will certainly be under our Christmas tree.

  14. laura

I loved this movie! It has the same sort of humor as the despicable me movies. If you liked those, you’ll probably like this.

  15. Carol_R

This is great. I just pre-ordered the DVD. Thanks so much Collin! I loved, loved, loved this movie.
