Thanks for posting Debora! I’m in Omaha as well! Hopefully they’ll expand sometime so we can get a great deal too! 😊
Charge for my 2000 sf house is $316. I normally pay less than $100.
I wish I could get that price of $100. My quote was $400 for 4 hours minimum. I live small city Ohio. You would think it would be cheaper.
Whohoo! Scored 3 hours for $70, so I’ll only pay $30 after cash back. Thanks 🙂
Wow! That Rocks! 🙂
Okay, this may be a dumb question, but I’ve never had my house professionally cleaned. Is it appropriate to tip on top of the cleaning fee? If so, how much?
You may wish to contact company just to familiarize yourself with heir policy.
In general, not only is it appropriate to tip, but it is very much appreciated. I am no expert becuz I have only had the opportunity to indulge a few times, but in one instance I tipped 20% and divided it among the three employees that distributed the work evenly. On another occasion (different company) I again divided tip. It was not evenly distributed. I based the tip on the job responsibility, (vacuuming is easier than deep cleaning stove) job performance and overall demeanor of the employee. HTH.
I had cleaned homes for 2 weeks professionally. You have no idea what kind of perks the house cleaners get and it might be too much to ask them what they get paid. So 10 dollars would be good. I worked for 2 weeks because it was a lot of work for getting very little. Yes it was like 10 an hour. But I drove from one city to the next sometimes and they didn’t pay for gas. It was so not worth it for me. But a lot pay for their employees gas. It is always nice to tip to anyone doing work like that, cleaners, food, labor in general. It makes them happier even if it’s a small amount. I got tipped once of 10 dollars in the whole 2 weeks when that boss said most houses(huge houses!!) tipped. Doing 3 to 4 a day
I do not tip my regular house cleaner. I do give at Christmas, though. Before this one, I used a company and I never tipped then either. It would be too complicated to tip all the time and different people often come each time. I have never heard of tipping each time. I hope I am not doing something wrong. I love my current house keeper.
I worked for a cleaning company for a summer in high school. I was only tipped twice (since I was new the costomers who tipped were taken by the senior cleaners). One was $5 and one was $10. Personally I wasn’t ever offended not being tipped. The cost to the customer for cleaning was a lot!
The payment the homeowners give is alot. The houses I were doing would cost around 150 to 300. Like I said because I was doing such big houses. Most of that money goes to your boss. So doing 3 hrs of work at a house would equal 30 dollars.
How safe is it to have strangers in your house cleaning? With 4 kids, 3 being little ones. I’d be nervous to have someone in my house. Especially how messy it is now.
Bummer!! “Sorry, there are no service providers currently available in your area.” Thanks anyway Collin!
Darn! Sorry to hear that Debra! YW!
I just scheduled😀 I’m new in my area and was nervous about who to choose, I love the eco-friendly option. I hope cleaning is great – company looks promising. I’ll post how it turns out. I’m outside of Pittsburgh…thanks!
Awesome to hear that! You’re welcome!
Hi, I hope you don’t mind me asking who you got. I am outside of Pittsburgh too.
Bummer, no service providers in Memphis yet…
I just found out that you have to be home while they’re cleaning your house. That’s so awkward for me. I never stick around while getting my house cleaned. I feel like I’m in the way or making them uncomfortable. What is everyone else’s thoughts on this?
