If you are new to ibotta, I highly recommend it. It is very user friendly and offers lots of great rebates.

Be sure to check dates on sunscreen if you plan on saving them for next year! Some will have expiration dates on the scrunched part of the container (like neutrogena lotions) or on the bottom of spray canisters. Others are date coded with hard to crack codes ):

Thanks for the helpful feedback Steph! Good to know!

    • Angela (Super Saver Sidekick)

I was excited that the majority of the sunscreen had an expiration of 2019, even the sunscreen that was free after coupon! I’m like you, I always check the date when I buy! Thanks for the reminder to everyone! 🙂

I went to Walmart last night and bought a total of 12 items! 9 Ecotool items, 2 dannon yogurts, and an equal coffee creamer. Retail value was $51.05 but I paid $0.00. Not only did I pay $0.00, but I made money on all these items!! A total of $9.97 I MADE for buying these items! Crazy! I love these money makers! You get a free $10.00 for your first redeemed receipt! ibotta.com/r/afhdwin

I agree. IF there is anyone left on the planet who doesn’t have ibotta by now – it misleading. IF you did indeed get everything for free out of pocket at Walgreens it was because of sales and coupons. THEN you submitted your ibotta rebates. Be truthful people.

    • Nicole

Can rebates be used more than once? Or did you have to split it up?

      • Laura

Offers are used only once. Unless they reset. Then you can do the deal again. But Ibotta is only offering a few EcoTools rebates. Not 9 as stated.

        • C. Levitan

Mine will reset 2 more times before the expiration date (assuming Ibotta doesn’t pull them before then and also assuming the resets will happen which they don’t always) However, at my walmart, there were 1.00 off now coupons on all of them. Plus I had a 4.00 off coupon that I was allowed to combine with those coupons (so I total of 5.00 off each ecotools item) which is how the paybacks are so rewarding included with ibotta. BUT I don’t know if all walmart stores will have the 1.00 off coupon on their products so I would just say keep a lookout for them.

I anyone else having trouble getting their Ibotta app to open up?

    • Laura

It’s the update. I don’t update ANY of my apps if they’re running fine. Sometimes you can be sorry. The new version can be awful! Turn off the automatic updates in your settings so this doesn’t happen again.

      • Cindy J.

The Ibotta update or the IPhone update? I’ve already done both recent ones, so what do I do now?

        • Laura

It was the Ibotta update. Just wait to see if they fix it.
I have a iPhone 5s – haven’t updated that either. The update was meant for 6 and up

I make backups for the apps I like – that way when I get a new phone I’m not forced into the latest version

Can someone help me with ibotta verification? I used my phone number for my old ibotta account long times ago. But that email got hacked (not ibotta account, but the main yahoo mail) so i decided to create new account. Do you know if i can use an app to get a different phone number and use that number to verify my ibotta account?

Anyone see prices like these in So cal? The nearest Walmart is 15 minutes drive and I don’t know if it’s worth it. I don’t think I’ve ever seen prices like this since it’s always sunny here. If anyone has seen them please let me know.

CAn someone offer some help with ibotta? I just got my first smart phone – Android. I have the app and somehow I did unlock a couple of deals. However, I see a lot of deals at ibotta website but I don’t see them on my phone app. Also, how can I see all the deals? When I open ibotta, the choices seem to be to select stores, not deals. I feel really lost. I must be missing some menu or something. Any suggestions?

    • Nicole

Because you have to select a store and then it will show you all deals for that store OR search for a deal to go straight to that deal.

      • pat

so — forgive my ignorance …. if I select a deal at, say, Target, and it’s a “multiple stores” deal — do I HAVE to buy it at Target? Or if I go to my grocery store and buy the item, can I still “verify” the deal? It seems that when I tried to select something, it was insisting that I scan a receipt from the original store.

        • Brandy

Let’s say a deal is good at Target and Walmart. You can unlock the deal under Target or Walmart. If you decide to buy the item at Walmart, you have to select Walmart before uploading your receipt. If you click Target, then it is expecting a receipt from Target. Hope this helps.
