Can the Groupon be used for the premium card orders or just the store pick up (standard photo paper) option?

    • Amy

I have used my Groupon on the premium cards – cardstock – not the photo paper option – in the past. Hope this helps!

    • Jennifer

I did this deal last week and got the premium cards… however, unlike in the past when I was able to pick the premium cards up in the store, I had to have them shipped to me and paid an additional $9.95 for shipping. I rationalized that it was my fee for not being able to wait until November for the deal I have done the last 2 years. ; )

  2. Amy

I have purchased holiday cards from Staples for the last two years. The quality is great! I am impressed with the selection of cards you can choose from. This is a great buy for anyone who is looking to save a little on holiday cards. Thanks for posting!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You’re so welcome Amy! Thanks for the awesome feedback!

  3. Love2save

I used Staple a couple of time for our holiday cards and we really liked them. The quality is very good

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Happy to hear how pleased you were with them! Thanks for sharing!

  4. Amanda

I did this Groupon last year and the cards turned out great! Nice quality and so much cheaper than other websites/places. Just purchased again, I highly recommend this deal.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Super cool to hear that Amanda! Thanks for the great review!

  5. Katie

I’ve used this for Christmas cards on a tight budget. The quality is OK. When compared to other, much pricier options there is really no comparison, especially in the weight and quality of the paper and the color/clarity of the photos. But not bad at all for the price – a great option if you don’t want to spend an arm and a leg for cards!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for sharing your experience Katie! Good to know!

    • Anna

I second everything Katie said- we have done this the past few years. The first year was great but the second year the cards looked kind of dark,,,,but for the budget I think it’s worth the risk.

    • Brooke B Bushman

I love our cards the first year, the second year they were really dark. I asked them to re-do them and they did free of charge. I agree the quality isn’t fabulous, but it’s better than the standard photo paper cards. And you can’t beat the price.

  6. kjschoolfield

I’ve used Staples the past two holiday seasons and love them for the price! They have been adding more design each year too. Groupon usually has a Staples card deal running up until Christmas or so, so it’s nice to wait for a Groupon percentage off or $ off code to save even more!

    • Sara

I second everything you said! I looked back at emails from the last several year’s orders and they were slightly better deals as we got closer to Christmas so I think I’m going to hold off on ordering.

    • Carissadiane

      Thanks for the tip!

  7. michelle

Y’all are so helpful thank you for all the comments. 😉

  8. Natalie

This looks like an awesome deal! Are envelopes included with the invitations?

    • Sara

      Yes, envelopes are included!

  9. Linda

I want something not photo paper. Hip-2-Savers…. What is your price point for nicer cards? Did I already miss all the free deals I remember seeing list year?

    • Sara

I’ve ordered these the last several years & they’ve been on cardstock. Not as good of quality as Shutterfly but nice for this price.

    • Jennifer

You can do photo paper or cardstock with this groupon; I just did it last week. However, I had to have the premium shipped to me (I’ve done this deal the last 2 years, chose cardstock and was able to pick up in store) and I had to pay $9.95 for shipping. It was still worth it for me, just fyi!

      • Meghan

I just bought 200 cards and realized that when you said $9.95 shipping, it might only be for a certain number of cards! I’m scared that they will charge me $9.95 per 25 cards. Do you know? I have to have one on card stock. Is that “premium paper” or is their “photo paper” mean card stock and premium is something different? I am scared I am going to have to pay a ton more now. If so, is there a way to cancel the order?

        • Jennifer

I paid 9.95 for 100 “premium” cards (which are cardstock not photo paper) to be shipped to me… I kind of think it’s just a flat rate for any number but I don’t know for sure. I think you can return a Groupon before it expires, check out their FAQs maybe? Hope that helps!

          • Meghan

I think you’re right! Phew! Paying $10 is still better than any deal out there! I usually do Zazzle on Groupon, but this is even better! Thank you!

            • Jennifer

You’re so welcome! I totally agree this is a great deal, especially this early. I’m going to try to do “fancy” names and addresses on my envelopes this year since I’m getting them so early. (Let’s be real, I’m gonna lose them and then realize on December 15th that I haven’t sent out cards and spend the entire night scribbling addresses on them and be stressed hahahaha)

  10. Gorillamomma

Yup we have done the Groupon staple deals the last two years and I love it. Will be i info again!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Glad to hear it! 🙂

  11. MaaMaaBear

Can you purchase the 100 count and do different styles? Or is it 100 of the same invite? I have two birthday parties coming up!

    • D

Last year I purchased the groupon for 100 cards thinking I could split them up (do some Christmas and some thank you cards). I was able to do different designs but there was an additional charge for that. I don’t remember how much, but it was additional per design.

  12. Beth

I bought these last year and I was amazed at the quality and I was able to get them the day I ordered them!!!!! Fantastic deal! Thanks for the heads up!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You’re welcome Beth! Glad you could snag them again this year!

  13. Julie

I have the Groupon Deal from last year scratched sloppily on my calendar, looks like it was $9.99/50 cards just prior to Thansgiving… Wondering if this is the best deal or if I should hold off a little longer … It would be nice to get them done now and off my to-do list …

    • Megan

Hi Julie! I got the same $9.00/50 cards deal last year as well. I don’t think it was a Groupon though — not sure though. I purchased it on December 1st. So, perhaps there will be an even better deal. 🙂

      • Megan

Sorry — I meant $9.99/50 just like yours.

  14. Jen S.

This is a great deal! I also used this deal last year and was very happy with the cards! It’s nice to get them so quickly, too!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Good to know how nice they are and how quickly they arrived! Thanks for sharing your experience Jen!

  15. Kristina

Does anyone know if I can do a custom invitation? A digital download type?

    • Jennifer

You can! There will be an option that says “upload your design” on a blank card : ) I considered doing that and then found a design I really liked.

  16. Emily

Use Ebates and get 6% back!

  17. Holli

It looks like there’s 11 locations do you have to order the cards from one of those locations I don’t live around there. Is this deal only good for those 11 locations. Thank you so much for all your help. You make things much easier for us working moms. 😃😃😃😃😃

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You’re welcome Holli! Nope! You can grab the voucher and then order online from your local Staples. Hope this helps!

  18. coby

I was going to wait for a groupon disct like some suggested but I read the fine print which said “Offer is not eligible for Groupon promo codes or other discounts” so I guess this is as good as it gets pricewise 🙂

  19. Daphne

Does anyone know if shipping is available? Our Staples closed 😔

  20. Ashley

Can you do wedding invites or just holiday cards

    • Angela

I would like to know this as well. I was planning on doing this for my wedding invites.

  21. Nicole Lane

I just bought this Groupon today (as I have the last 2 years and was very happy) but I’m not happy that I’ll have to pay $9.95 for shipping the premium cards (which I didn’t know until I read on here) since I’ve always just picked up at the store. I think I’m going to go on Groupon and “return” for a refund and hope that I can pick them up in the store the closer this deal gets to the holidays. I did use Ebates for my 6% back but the Groupon won’t allow a percentage off code. I do think that I paid about the same amount for 100 cards last year as they’re charging this year.
