OT : love to hear some advice on when and where you got your little ones ears pierced. I would love to get my dd ears pierced but afraid she may be too young and not sure what place is best to get it. TIA!!!
I have 3 girls and they got ear pierced at the age of 6,4,5 months.☺️
My daughter was 4 months. The doctor said after the 3 month shots they are good.
We got our daughter’s ears done at 6 months and we got them done at the mall at Claire’s. She never bothered them at that age. She’s more curious about them now that she’s a toddler. Hth

I took my then 5 year old to Claire’s on her last day of preschool. One of her friends had just gotten her ears pierced (by grandma lol) and told her it didn’t hurt. The whole way out of the store, “Why did she lie to me???” LMAO!!! That was 2 years ago and I still laugh thinking about it. // When I asked around, everyone recommended Claire’s. If you can find one that has two people working, they say it’s a lot easier if they do both ears at once on little ones. I imagine that is true!
I disagree about claires. I got my ears pierced there when I was about 13 and regret the decision. My holes arent straight – one is pointing downwards, so while the hole looks in place in the front, the back is not even so I have a hard time with some earrings.
I personally will take my daughter to a piercing shop where it is their job to pierce. Though it is more expensive and the child needs to be older, I would rather it be done correctly so they dont have to deal with a botched job the rest of their life. Also I think waiting is better so their ear grows fully so the hole doesnt move out of place.
Completely agree!!!! They did such a horrible job I ended up having to let them close and go to a real piercing/tattoo shop when I was older to get them redone correctly
I agree with you about Claire’s. I took my daughter at 6 months to a tattoo shop to have it done with hollow needles. I wish I had done it sooner because at 6 months she was so interested even as we drew the hold marks on her ear so I think the earlier (3 months) the better! She never messed with them and has even lost a few and I assume due to using a needle vs a gun that just spreads the ear lobe i was able to pop an earring back in without losing the hole.
I agree. I got my ears pierced at 13 at Claires. The hole in my left ear isn’t straight. I would not recommend going there.
I also highly disagree about Claires. I got my 3 daughters ears pierced there and all of them have issues with their holes. One daughters hole is so crooked that you have to bend her ear in half to get an earring into it.
I know a nurse practitioner does it in our doctors office. Might be worth calling your office and asking.

We got our daughter’s done at 6 months at piercing pagoda and I’d totally do it again! They were super fast but professional. She’s 4 now and even as she’s grown they’re still even and centered in her ear lobes (sometimes if done as babies the holes shift as they grow). Glad we did it then, no way she’d stay still now lol.
I used to work at piercing pagoda. I highly recommend there, although I do not recommend doing both ears at once. It is very difficult to time it exactly and after the first one the child usually moves slightly and the second one is a tad bit off. Not majorly, but if they are going to have these holes forever….
Also, have them err on the side of slightly higher on the ear, if the child is young. Not so much that it is noticeable, but it will help when she gets older. Usually between wearing dangling (heavier) earrings and just the natural ear growth, the holes end up a little lower.
My advice- when’s she’s old enough to make the decision on her own. Take care of them – on her own. You are putting holes in her ears without her consent
That’s how I feel. I was given the choice when I was old enough to take care of them, and by that time, I didn’t want holes in my ears.
Yes. I completely agree. My parents waited to let me decide when I was older, and I’m doing the same for my children.
Piercing Pagoda for both my girls around 5 months. They cried for like 2 seconds and never bothered their earrings. Really easy to take care of at that age.
I took my daughter to claires in the mall when she was 2 months old. her dr told us as soon as she had her first DTaP shot, she could get them done. she cried for a split second and was fine. we had no issues either – she never pulled on her ears or messed with them. she is now almost 7yrs old and loves to buy new earrings and change them to match her outfits. LOL.

My mom and dad waited to get our ears pierced until we were old enough to ask for them. I used the same rule with my daughter. When she was old enough to want them and ask, we got them done for her. We went to Icing to get hers done. I called ahead so we could go at a time when they had two people to pierce on both sides at the same time. Hope this helps! This was just how we chose to do things in our house. 😀

I think ppl like u are why they are discontinuing the $100 cards …making them invalid. Apparently they can be used multiple times online. I talked to customer service and they have no idea about employees getting $10 for codes…she said ppl needed them to reuse them.

Last year my store would not give my 12 year old one. But this year my store gave them to everyone. Including toddlers and infants! Lol. I would definitely give it a try. 😀

i had my daughter’s ears pierced at age of 0ne week at the gynecologist ….i dont recommend any place other than a doctor for the fear of possible infection

I went this morning about 11:30 and when I got there I had to ask for the coupon. The man handed me a basket I picked a card and I could not believe my eyes . I got the 100 off 100 . Clearly a wonderful blessing !
Last time some silly lady did not want her $100 coupon. She made a big fuss about it too. She said she only came in for one item and preferred the $10 off. I wish I could have made it over to her before she stormed off. I would have gladly traded her.

I went this am with my 2 daughters ! One is in a wheel chair, only one entrance and one employee holding door only one giving the gift cards and one employee behind her! Some customers, cut line when there was a big line , a lady went inside got her gift card walked outside and tried to go back in , because of this we didn’t get any ! Even know we were there at 9 am , because some customers were in line and they called there relatives friends and cut in line and because , no one said anything ! Good thing I had rewards was able to get my daughter some items ! Thank you Collin and team ! And thank you for all your deals

Thanks for posting this…I don’t think it was very widely announced bc our store was fairly empty. I was able to get 3 different cards from 3 entrances..one ended up being $100! Yaay.

I hope you used your $100 gift card already because they are no longer valid. I got one too but when I tried to use it online it said not valid and customer service was of no use they said there was a problem with the card and they were no longer accepting them
I used mine a hour ago. They told me their was fraud on line with the 100cards so they deactivated them all. Manager had to ok my card. Take it to the store and use it so they can see the card.

It was super crowded at our JCP this morning, I went in and got a $10 card and used it on some stocking stuffers.. Then as I was leaving I walked past the guy at the door who had been passing out cards and he goes “here” and handed me another (apparently he had been waiting there 10 minutes trying to give out the last card and nobody new had walked in lol) anyways it was $20! So $30 total! Very cool, thanks guys for letting us know!
There were like 100 people outside ONE of the entrances when the mall opened. They did not give them to any kids. If it was that busy for this coupon, I can’t imagine how Black Friday will be! Thanks to Collin for the heads up! so glad I went early and got a coupon!
Our tore was giving you a card for every purchase you made!!! if you had 5 items and purchased them separately she gave you 5 cards. They must have had tons of them because we were in the store @ 2 and they had a box full still! i only did a couple purchases but did get a @ $20 one 🙂

At my store (Houston area), they were lined up at 9:00 a.m. Store didn’t open until 10:00. I didn’t want to stand in line for an hour, so I left and came back at 10:15 – and got a $10 card at the door. They were out of cards within the hour. Thanks for letting us know about this deal!
I was one of the lucky ones that got a $100 gift card this morning at the JC Penney’s coupon giveaway. When I went online to use this coupon my total Goods was over $100 and did not include any excluded items and my coupon said invalid. When I called customer service they explained to me that there was a problem with the hundred dollar coupons and that they were no longer valid. Did anybody else experienced this that’s tried to use $100 coupon? Bait and switch case if you ask me.

I don’t have Facebook or Instagram ! My friend send me a post where people was asking for the codes ! They were asking to take a picture of the code and use it at store then used them online ! To double dip ! Now that may be the case as to why they stop them ! The ones with higher value ! Please continue the conversation ! Hope that they can solve this issue ! The coupons a no longer working. JCP stated that they shut them off due to some stores handing out duplicates. Some stores may still honor them but they do not work online anymore.
Not working online but you should call your store before heading out…ours is honoring them manually.
