Can anyone tell me if cooking/baking surface is nonstick..I saw it like that in item specification ..I have never used cast iron and would love to try one..pls help me to make sure it’s not nonstick cooking surface
Cast iron is what they call “seasoned” rather than not stick. The more you use them, especially with foods that release fats or grease that are soaked into the pores of the iron, the more non stick they become. I am using some cast iron my grandmother used 50 years ago and it’ cooks amazingly well. They are made to last s lifetime and do not have the Coatings or chemicals some other pans have. Google “what’s great about cast iron?” You will get s ton of info! Hope that helps
