I got these last time (different brand) but i love them!!! I live in a tiny nyc apt so only use 3 in my small dryer. When i left the other 3 out on my counter everyone was asking about them! Getting more for my parents and bff!!!

Oh good! Happy to hear how well they work Emily! Thanks for the great feedback!

Do these really work at making your clothes softer and no static cling?

    • Yolie

Yes! I haven’t used Downy since I bought the dryer balls!

Can you use these with microfiber cleaning cloths? I see it says they soften and you can’t use softener with microfiber

    • Lucy

Don’t know about that but you can use balls of aluminum foil for the microfiber cloths. I do that for all bath rugs too 😉

I know that Norwex sells wool dryer balls, and their most popular product is their microfiber so I would assume that the dryer balls could be used with the microfiber, as it seems they try to make all their products compatible. I don’t own any Norwex (way too expensive!!) but I have off brand wool balls and microfiber cloths on my Christmas list and hope they can be used together!

I haven’t used dryer sheets in a couple of years! This is a great non-toxic alternative!

How firm are these? Do they make a lot of noise in the dryer? I made myself a set from a wool sweater a while back but I’m not sure if I wound them too tight….they are hard like a softball and make a lot of noise in the dryer!

Stick with what you made..these are loud, but ok for me. Bought for $8 in 2015 to reduce dryer time. Can’t say these reduce drying time more than a couple cotton towels added to dyer.

I have a set of these but still get static cling. Does anyone have any tips?

    • Mo

Same here!! I tried replacing them with three others from my bag of six thinking maybe they just needed a rest or something (silly I know) but still have that static cling
