Just want to say that I have had this same aquarium for 3 years for our 2 goldfish and it works great!

How is the cleaning for this?? We thought about doing this with the glow fish stuff. I just don’t want to clean the tank all the time

Jen, for a tank this small you would not be able to have anything except maybe a betta or a snail. The rule of thumb is 1 gallon per inch per fish and that is stretching it. The waste load would be huge, you would have to clean the tank at least twice a week to prevent ammonia spikes that would kill anything in the tank. These are great little tanks but if you want a glo setup that survives you will need to go to at least a 20 so you don’t have to clean it constantly.
That being said, this is a great tank for a betta fish or a couple of mystery snails. You could set up a glo light with some glo deco. I had a ten gallon diy glo tank in my sons room for a couple of years, he used it as a night light, it was super cool!

We’ve had this tank for about two years for three fish and it’s been great. You just need to make sure the filter cartridge is cleaned/replaced at least every two weeks. I usually put a new cartridge and then wash it out two weeks later and then replace two weeks after that. Essentially go through a cartridge a month (the tank instructions say to replace the cartridge weekly). I fully clean the tank every one to 1.5 months.
