Can you use the gift card for the wooden ornaments today?

    • Heather C

Yes, but you won’t get the promo price…. see with the normal price is and if it would be worth it or not

      • Mary

Thanks Heather. I thought so, but I was looking for confirmation too.

    • dawn

Seems like you could do one transaction (using promo code) for the $50.00 gift card and a separate transaction (with promo code) for the ornaments – and then use your gift card to pay for the ornaments?

Do you think this would work?

      • Jennifer

My understanding is that the gift card is more like a promo… it says that the gift card cannot be combined with any other promos so I think you would pay the regular price for the ornaments + shipping but then get the full $50.00 towards the amount. There’s also a few groupons, I’ve been trying to figure out the best deal and now my head hurts haha

      • Susan

It sounds like you can’t use the gift card for any promo price; the gift card can only be used for the full price. Not sure if it’s worth it because they always have such big discounts. I guess if there is something you want that doesn’t go on sale.

        • Ryan From PhotoBarn

Hey all, hopefully I can help clear this up. The gift card is being bought at a discount so I’m the gift card cannot be combined with other offers (such as the ornament offer). The gift card has to be used on regularly priced items. However, this is still one of the best offers we have ever had. The gift cards cover shipping, so if you wanted to give someone a $50 gift card, they could come back and get a 5×7, 6×6, ornament and many other products free of charge.

This is one of the best offers we have ever had and it’s a great way to gift a personal product and let them choose the photos they want, etc. I hope this clears things up. Thanks for checking us out!

          • Jennifer

Thanks Ryan! I also wanted to add that I purchased a standout wood print of one of our wedding pictures about 3 years ago and I LOVE it. The products and customer service at PhotoBarn are excellent!

            • Ryan From PhotoBarn

Jennifer, I’m glad you loved your products! Thanks for the review and checking us out again.

          • Renee

What do you mean “the gift cards cover shipping”? Does that mean if someone uses the $50 GC then shipping is free?? Or does it mean the gift card amount of $50 is able to be put toward shipping cost?

            • Ryan From PhotoBarn

Renee, the gift card amount can go towards the shipping cost. This deal is simply different that the $9 ornament deal although it is very similar in terms of discount. For some products that may not be on sale, it is a fantastic offer to get those products at a great price. For people that want to get a gift, this is also a great option. Or, if you can’t decide which product to buy right now (or don’t have the right pic yet) you can essentially preserve the offer and come back later to make your purchase. Thanks, Ryan

  2. Lisa

Is it an actual gift card, or online code?

    • Ryan From PhotoBarn

      Lisa,
If you buy a gift card, you will receive an email with a PDF that is the actual gift card. The PDF will have a code on it that is used during the checkout process to redeem the gift card.

You purchase the gift card with a discount code to get the $50 gift card for only $10, $75 for $25, or $100 gift card for $35.

      Thanks,
      Ryan

BFORNAMENTS code is not working. Anyone else having a problem?

    • Ryan From PhotoBarn

Sarah, I just checked on that code and it appears to be active and working. Can you please provide more detail on what you are trying to purchase and I can look into it some more?
      Thanks,
      Ryan

      • eever3

Yes, I am just getting one block ornament that sells for $26

        • Ryan From PhotoBarn

I just looked into this and found a small problem with the code. It should be active and working again. I just went through the checkout process with a test ornament and it worked. Thanks for letting us know there was a problem with the code. Sorry for the inconvenience.
          Thanks,
          Ryan

  4. Renee

What does it mean “the gift card covers shipping”?? Does that mean the person using the gift card gets free shipping? Or does it mean the gift card amount can go towards the shipping cost? I am not seeing how this is a better deal than just buying the $9 ornament that already has free shipping?

    • Ryan From PhotoBarn

Renee, the gift card amount can go towards the shipping cost. This deal is simply different that the $9 ornament deal although it is very similar in terms of discount. For some products that may not be on sale, it is a fantastic offer to get those products at a great price. For people that want to get a gift, this is also a great option. I’m obsessed! Just received my first wooden ornament and just purchased one for a friend who lost her son. I think they are beautiful and a wonderful gift for those that are hard to buy for….But I noticed there wasn’t a message option when I placed my last order? Would have liked to personalize it?

    • Ryan From PhotoBarn

      Deanne,
Glad you love it! There isn’t a personalized text option. There are generic holiday greetings to choose from but we don’t currently have the functionality for you to type a message on the ornament (we are working on that functionality).
      Thanks,
      Ryan

      • Deanneg2

Thanks for Responding Ryan… but I wasn’t looking to personalize the ornament (even though that’s a fantastic idea). I was looking to send a message with the ornament to my friend… I’ll assume she knows it’s from me based on the billing info.

  6. Steph

The wooden ornament is precious! I received quickly and absolutely love it! I’m going to buy a few more at this price – well worth it!

  7. Amanda

I have a free Shutterfly shipping code. Looking for Kohls cash. E-mail me at amandafreemail@gmail.com

  8. Amy

The “gift card” is not a card, but a $50 code. I wish I had known that before I purchased it last month. I saved my “gift card” for Black Friday, made several ornaments that I thought were $9, then realized I could not use both. I ordered one ornament that came to $38 with shipping and used my code, which had cost me $10 to purchase. I would have been better off buying without the $50 code:(

    • Ryan From PhotoBarn

Amy, we apologize if it wasn’t clear that you couldn’t combine the gift card with a coupon code. We try to be very clear about it by stating it on the gift certificate purchase page and the gift certificate itself. We will do everything we can to make it right if you email us at info@photobarn.com. Customer satisfaction is a #1 priority for us. Sorry for the confusion. Thanks, Ryan

      • Amy

        Ryan,
I really appreciate your response. No need to make it right, as it is my fault for not reading the fine print. Happy Holidays!

        • Ryan From PhotoBarn

Happy Holidays to you too Amy! Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with! Thanks

    • Dana Gamble

Amy, you’re not the only one! I, too, purchased the $50 “gift card” last month for $10 to use specifically on the $9 ornaments (I give photo ornaments to the grandparents every year), only to find out after making the ornaments that I could only use it on regular price items. Wish I would have seen that fine print, because I would not have purchased it either. I did previously purchase a wood wedding photo that turned out great, so I guess I’ll find something else to buy. Live and learn. 🙂

    • dealhousewife

That stinks. 🙁 I’m glad I didn’t get any. Listing it as a “gift card” is misleading. Granted, there’s “fine print”, but gift cards are a typical form of payment, so there’s going to be MANY people “not realizing it”. You are essentially just buying a promo code.
If you wanted to get 2 wooden ornaments, this “gift card” route would be more the more expensive way to go even! vs. just getting the ornaments with the current promo code.
And with all the promo codes they already run, this “deal” surely doesn’t seem so “HOT”. :/

      • Misty

It’s a HUGE discount on awesome products – I have purchased these on Groupon for a couple of years and these are really generous offers. What you can get with a $10 gift code is amazing, and the quality is very good. I have never felt mislead, Collin has clearly stated all the find print. I have been super happy with these deals and company, and just purchased more gift cards today. I gave my SIL a $50 gift card as a thank you and it cost me $10, she was able to make an item she loved. WIN!! Thanks Collin!

  9. Susan

You can make these with a wood ornament, a photo, and mod podge.

    • Knotsocrafty

I think I’ll try the $10 route… the last time I tried to do an “easy” craft, I spend about 3x what I should have and ruined the finish on my dining room table🙂
I did try the fishbowl snowman craft that Collin showed on Facebook the other day, that was so fun!
These are beautiful – Thanks for the awesome deal Hip2Save!!

  10. Anita

I try to order one today but it says: Coupon code “bfornaments” is not valid. …. I hope they keep this deal until Dec. 4.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

How odd as I am still finding BFORNAMENTS to be valid. Are you using all caps? If not, maybe try it in a different browser.

  11. Anita

Can we use the code “bfornaments” to order $9 ornaments in several transactions?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      One per order 🙂
