In case anyone wanted to know the consumer report grade on this washer is an 80 and the dryer got a 79. Great deal for those in the market for new ones.

    • Laura

Is it this exact model?? I know the Sears will carry models that are similar but are made cheaper.

      • Kristina

Yes exact model. I entered the product model code for both.

  2. Margie

I had a Kenmore washer and dryer and disliked it tremendously. Look up the “3 beeps” on Kenmore dryers. They do not last very long.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh bummer 🙁 Sorry to hear that Margie! Thanks for the honest feedback!

  3. Andrea

I have these but I have a gas dryer and I absolutely love them. I’ve had them a little over a year now since Black Friday last year when Collin posted a similar deal. I haven’t had any issues and they work great!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sweet! Thanks so much for sharing your experience Andrea! Good to know how well they have worked for you!

  4. Fun

I love my kenmore appliances. I would get these but the gas dryer is showing an extra $100 for me.

On these you have to buy the pedestals separately. Also I have been looking for washers and dryers and on wood floors all front load washers and dryers vibrate A lot.. looking for top load if anyone sees any good deals!

@mandy… check lowes… I just bought my maytag bravos there yesterday, 449 I also had the 11% from when I purchased my dryer last month so it was a pretty good deal and I believe they are on sale thru 12/3. also free delivery. if u are in the market for both there is also a rebate avail when u purchase 2 or more, sadly I didn’t qualify due the the date range

      • Tracy

Keep the paperwork and buy the extended warranty on the Maytag Bravos. I bought one 3 years ago and have had nothing but trouble since day 366. Unfortunately I didn’t see all the bad reviews in time. I am looking for a new washer now.

I recently bought this set (about a month ago) and dealing with Sears customer service has been a NIGHTMARE! Save yourself the headache and buy from a company with better customer service. I ended up returning the appliances because they wouldn’t come back and install them properly.

    • Heather C

Sears customer service has always been a nightmare for me too. So bad that I am finally buying appliances at Best Buy and now JCPenney. So sad because Sears has always been my first choice for decades.

    • Laura

For that reason I shop a local appliance store. They’ve been in business since the 40’s. You know the repair guys by name. With Sears or Lowes, you never who is installing them or coming to your door to “fix” them. Sometimes saving a buck isn’t worth it. Plus before I talk to the sales people, I have a little chat with the repair guys. They are the ones that know what models are good or crap

      • Margie

I too only buy them from the local appliance store, especially after the Kenmore issues I had. Not worth the tiny savings going through the big stores. They too are more than happy to be completely honest with which is good or not. Ours actually pull up the same model at the bigger stores and are willing to compare prices and sell it to me for the same (sometimes I have gotten them cheaper)…doesn’t hurt to ask.

      • Mourrene

Good suggestion about asking the repair guys and about the local appliance store. I live in a major city but I’ve never seen a non-chain appliance store. I’ll definitely look for one though.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn! Sorry to hear that their customer service was not helpful 🙁 Thanks for sharing!

  7. Heather C

Any idea if these are stackable? Might be buying a granny unit as a rental and it has a small space for washer/dryer, but the “model” shows them stacked.

  8. Rose

Are these stackable? Does anyone know of a stackable combo deal?

  9. Tami

We have this set going on five years now. Has been great.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Awesome to hear how well they have held up for you Tami! Thanks for the great review!

  10. DENISE

When I click on this link and enter my zip code, the cost is $1397. After navigating the site several ways, I still can’t find a way to get the discoounted price!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Bummer! Looks like the deal is gone 🙁 Thanks for the heads up!
