  2. Load $10 or more to the Starbucks app with VISA Checkout

        This is the 3rd time I’ve done the promo (last 2 times H2S has posted the deal) and used the same cc and starbucks account (I didnt delete my cc and re-add it, just used the card with the VISA logo next to it on the payment screen). When I went back into my starbucks app there was a msg on the home page saying I’d receive my $10 promo within 24 hrs. Sweeeet!

      Its free, you just registar a credit or debit card – it does not have to be Visa, its just another online payment system, like Paypal.

      It worked for me– at least I got the pop up saying I’d receive my $10 ecard info tomorrow! And I did this last time, and just reloaded it on that visa!

    Did this last time – NEVER AGAIN!! Visa checkout never put the $10 in. Was ZERO help. I ended up calling Starbucks and they put an extra $10 in.

          On the app…I had to log out a deal back into the app then I received a notification and it was in my inbox in the app that the promo will be emailed to me.

    How do you know visa checkout is applying? I keep clicking on it and it takes me back to the reload screen just showing my visa card….

      delete that card on your starbucks app, then when you select it during visa checkout it will add it back. i just did that and then got a message in my starbucks app saying i would recieve extra giftcard in 24hours

    I deleted my visa from the payment section and readded it with visa checkout and got an alert in the app to lookout for my reward within’ 24 hours. Not a new customer!

    My app is just showing my normal visa, not visa Checkout as an option…?

      Swipe to delete your “normal visa”, add a new payment method. Select Visa Checkout and select your saved card again. I know the “icon” doesn’t change from your Starbucks Payment method screen, but it shouldn’t matter. Worked for me just a minute ago and got confirmation of eGift.

        Thanks arianne! I did some snooping and it looks like I had already loaded a card onto visa checkout from the last promotion. It’d be a lot easier if they changed the image.

    Worked perfectly, using my existing payment method (debit card through Visa Checkout) and existing Starbucks gold card. A notification came through on my iPhone saying I would get my “eGift reward within 24 hours”.

    How do we know if it worked? It wouldn’t let me actually pay with visa checkout, only add a card through visa checkout, which I then used to add the $10. Ugh, I shouldn’t even do these type of promotions. It’s frustrating when there is no confirmation.

      Same thing for me but it does work. Close app and go back in and you should have a message on home page of Starbucks app saying you will receive the egift

      I know it is strange but it never shows as you are paying through visa checkout but as long as you went through the process of signing in to you VCO account and selecting card it should work.

    Addressing some of the concerns above. I am not a new customer. I selected VISA checkout using a card that was already on my account. After I completed the reload, I let my phone sit on that screen. I was concerned about the card being the one already on my account. But, after about 30 to 60 seconds, I did get a pop up telling me that I had used VISA checkout and that I would be getting an additional $10.

    Thanks Collin! It worked for me! I loaded $10.00 to an existing card on my phone app. I told it to pay with visa checkout. I had to sign into visa checkout where my credit card was stored. I wasn’t sure if it would work but after completing the order, I received a notification from Starbucks that said this:

    I didn’t do checkout right last time so missed $. Be sure u download Starbucks app to phone then make sure u r registered using your phone with Visa Checkout. Use Starbucks app to load $10 onto it then scroll down and be sure to choose Visa Checkout. Continue from there.
    I think older folks like me need more detailed instructions for things like this.

    No confirmation at checkout,but check your inbox in the app. That’s where I received a message saying I would get $10 within 24 hours.

      How soon did the message appear in your inbox on the app? I deleted my existing card and used the visa checkout option to add it back and used that to pay, but have no message.

    YAY! Thanks! It just worked for me in my account & my husband’s. When reloading, even though my card was already selected as a payment option, I clicked “Add payment option,” selected Visa Checkout, signed in, chose a card (same one already listed in Starbucks app), and they popped me back to the payment option screen. I checked out, and received the notification in both accounts that my eGift would be received via e-mail within 24 hours. Thanks again – so appreciate knowing about these offers!

    Can you use this money loaded to your card to buy a physical gift card in the store? Was hoping to gift this and the savings would be nice but I need an actual card.

      Absolutely! I have used my Starbucks ap/card to purchase “real” gift cards on numerous occasions. You can use the money loaded on your card to buys anything in a store or online

    Thank you. I was literally just thinking how I never got the offer from Groupon for the Starbucks deal. I’m normally able to participate in that promotion, but not this time. I was able to add $10.00 to my existing Starbucks account via the app, and pay using Visa checkout. I closed the app and then went back in after purchase and the message was in my inbox thanking me, and advising I’ll receive the $10.00 bonus in 24hrs. Perfect timing because I needed these to pair with teachers gifts.

    Check your inbox in the Starbucks app, I got a message about two minutes later telling me that I’d receive an email with a $10 gift card within 24 hours. My confirmation email from reloading $10 did not specify this, so i thought I had missed out.
