The walmart one has two 1.3-gallon cans and an 8 gallon one. The small ones are the same size but home depot has a 10 gallon one.

I picked this up from Walmart on Black Friday. It was smaller than I anticipated. Just from carrying it in the house put a ton of fingerprints on it, which would drive me crazy (I have 3 kids as well). I’m taking it back (we never used it). I also got a set during the Black Friday deal, and but had to return them. The larger one was way to small for my kitchen, and the 2 smaller ones are much smaller than the ones in my kids rooms or bathrooms. This set may work for some depending on where you plan to use them.
Same here, we returned the walmart ones…even the small ones were to small even for a bathroom.
The large trash can from Walmart is only for 8 gallons.
Besides the sizes, I wondered which one has higher quality?
Nicole, I bought a set from Home Depot a couple years ago on Black Friday and I finally need to replace them. They are not completely dead yet 🙂 but we definitely need to apply more pressure on the foot pedal to get it open. We put the smaller ones in the bathrooms so they are not used as often and they are still working great.
Thanks for the review. I ordered one set from Walmart this Black Friday but havn’t received it yet. I guess I should order the one from Homedepot and compare their quality an then decide which one I should keep.
I’m still trying to decide if I want this. (I’m hoping it will help keep my 1 yr old out of the kitchen and bathroom trash.) It was on my Black Friday list but then I worried they’d be too small. I looked at both HD and Walmart and this one SEEMED a little better quality.
I just checked out the reviews on these and they seem to be very positive. One feature that everyone seems to love is the slow close. I think I’ll give these a try.

I really like these. I bought them at HD three years ago and they are great. They do show fingerprints but a lysol wipe fixes that. They are smaller than other trash cans and fill up quickly in my kitchen, (one trash, one recycle,) but that means the trash never smells because we take a bag out every few days. The little cans are great in our bathrooms and are not rusting at all.
