I’m not an expert, but this looks like it could leave scars on your face.

Sann, It could if you are too aggressive. I have it & just use it occassionally & very gently for (sorry gross) pimples that I would otherwise squeeze. I just put a small amt of pressure on the skin around it & it works really well, but you definitely could cause an infection or scarring it you are too aggressive.

      Agreed

I have one of these and after I use it my face is all red and swollen from picking at it.. I might buy another!

Ps. Meant to say I only use the loop things (to put pressure around) & NEVER the poker things

DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT get the blackhead remover. It does not work. As someone who has had recurring blackheads for 20 years (more on that later), I bought the remover maybe 2 years ago. It doesn’t work. The hole in the instrument is simply too big to effectively put pressure on the blackhead plug and force it out of your pore. It just leaves unsightly red circles on your face.

About a year ago, I mentioned my persistent blackheads in a comment on a Clarisonic Mia deal on this site, and someone mentioned that my blackheads weren’t actually blackheads, but were sebaceous filaments instead. Who knew!!!?!?!?!?!

I have a kit similar to this with a few more pieces (bestope , from amazon) and I like it a lot. I only get small blemishes so I usually use the outer edge of the loop to push them out, not the inner circle. The lance/sharp poker is helpful for me because I frequently get small whiteheads under the surface of my skin that do not have a head. Yes, your skin is going to be red and angry after you use these…you are picking at your face! Better than using your fingers and a lot more effective imo.

I know this is gonna sound funny but I’m getting them for sculpting tools. I do lost wax carving and we use an alcohol torch to heat our tools. These will work great to carve small details. Dental tools work great too if you can get your dentist office to give you old or broken tools.

I just returned the oak leaf straightening brush last week. I bought it last time it was posted on here for the same price. I have wavy hair and this brush didn’t work good at straightening it. It also doesn’t have brush bristles like most of these types of brushes. It has these big prong looking things. It doesn’t catch the hair good at all. I felt like I was brushing my hair with the back of a regular brush. My hair was some straight after about 1000 runs over my hair but it didn’t last long. It also took awhile to heat up and it never really felt hot enough to me. The two positive reviews is that my hair was shinny once I used the ion setting and it was very easy to return and get my refund. Sorry but I don’t recommend this product.
