Thank you so much for this! We usually purchase tax software every year and I was looking for ways to do it for free this year. I will be on maternity leave and most of it is unpaid so any money we save is important!

You’re very welcome! Happy you could grab the deal!

I read about this company in Forbes. They collect info to try to match you for credit cards and loans.they make money when you click on there ads .because they have access to your credit report and your income level.other then then that yeah it’s supposed to be free. But if your under 60,000 you qualify for free tax returns.

What does that mean under 60k. U mean anywhere would be free for tax returns? Tysm😊

      • Zimmerman

Yes even HR block does free online tax returns if you make under the limit. There’s a list on the IRS website

      • Sarah

Huh??well I don’t make 60k don’t understand how it’s free. Pay every year. Usually over $100 actually whatever the state gives me back is just about what my bill is

        • Zimmerman

Online only they provide the forms you fill them out

I signed up for Credit Karma over a year ago and I haven’t noticed any increase in emails or mailings for credit cards. Just what I used to get before I signed up. I am usually the first one to be suspicious about free stuff like this, but I have really been pleased with this site. Just my two cents.

I use credit karma also and they haven’t really sent me any emails for credit cards but I have noticed that when I log in to check my credit score they always have recommendations for credit cards and loans. I just ignore the ads because I’m not interested in the offers so it’s not an issue for me.

The site looks legit, they make money by offering you credit card offers. My only issue with using another company to do my taxes is the one I currently use has all my old information saved and that is convenient when I do my taxes each year, but I don’t know if it is worth paying or not …
