This is not a very good deal. In black and white when you look at the “savings” you might think so. But when you break down the computer into specs the cpu and graphics card is same as the equally priced models of dell from multiple different retailers. The fact is, this does not have a dedicated graphics card which is a huge Con. This severely limits ability to play games and further it gives you a very bland picture for movies. It may even lag some of them. The i5 cpu decent for multitasking but it’s nothing to write home about. If you want this comp for truly basic functions you’ll be fine but don’t get it will the expectations that it will perform at your typically $700 price point standards. You can find better specs at the $380 price range just as well. A $200 chromebook will give you the same level of multitasking as this.

Thanks so much for the honest feedback Lilianna!

Thanks so much for the review and information. I was just looking into this as a gaming pc for my son. We wasted money last year on a cheap computer on black Friday that basically serves no function other than internet surfing.

Dudleymom, you’re better off looking for desktops if you’re in the market for a gaming computer. Most laptops do not have dedicated graphics cards, and laptops that do are very expensive. You’d be best off building your own computer, but I understand a lot of people don’t have that option. Make sure the graphic card supports whatever game he is wanting to play on it. If he wants to play the latest PC games, he’s going to need a new, cutting edge graphic card and a good bit of memory.

You would be better off with a $380 price point iBuyPower or cyberpc brand from Newegg or Walmart. Keep in mind the graphics card won’t be amazing but u can upgrade to a GeForce 1060 which is highly rated graphics card for $150+. I spent about that on a flash sale on Newegg. A desktop allows you to upgrade over time. A graphics card is an easy switch out that can be watched on you tube. Your son could probably do it if he is 10+. Eventually CPU will need upgraded but at $380 price point plus an upgraded graphics card you’ll be able to play graphically intense PC games like Subnautica on max settings. Use Tomshardware.com for information on best cheap gpu’s (graphics) for when u upgrade. They post a regular update for what the best ones are at every price point. Same for other hardware. Switching out parts in a PC is really rather easy. It’s a good skill your son can pick up if he is really into gaming. Overtime it saves a lot of money to just build and upgrade your PC yourself.

Thanks so much for all the great advice. Definitely guides me in the right direction. We were focusing more on the working memory and storage but I see now I should be looking at graphics cards. Seriously love this community and the great advice and help I always receive! You guys rock !

I desperately need a new laptop for school! tempted to get this! My VERY mischievous puppy, chewed on the corner of my laptop and the cracked the screen😩

Yikes I was upset my puppy chewed the strap on my purse, but at least it wasn’t my laptop.

I sure understand mischievous puppies. One of my teens left the door open to their room and the other teen (Who shares the same room) left her hair straightener on the ground. I’m lucky the puppy wasn’t electrocuted when she chewed through it.

A replacement screen and a local tech store is an option if you like the comp you have. Some screens are as little as $20. They are often easy to replace so low labor charge. I would check into that option first unless you just want a new laptop. I would still have the screen replaced and wipe it to factory settings and sell it or donate it.
