I’d been hoping this would drop below $99 and I finally gave up and ordered it last night… They won’t let me cancel the one I ordered last night to reorder. When it went on sale for Black Friday I was able to cancel the 6-in-1 24hrs after I had ordered and I reordered this one.

They do a price adjustment up to 7 days. Ask them to adjust it.

      • Jess

Do they? They refused to do one for me last week on a toy that I had bought 3 days before making the request. I was told by the rep via chat that it was against their policies. I need to look into this more!

        • Alyssa

I was reading they stopped doing that earlier this year – going to give it a try though

    • RZ

I don’t understand why you couldn’t just order another one at this price, and then return the one you ordered last night.

      • Alyssa

They take almost $15 for return shipping, so not quite worth the hassle with as busy as the post office would be for Christmas 🙂

        • RZ

I don’t think so…as a lot of people returned theirs for free as per Amazon’s return policy (after the BF/CM deals came out). You have a certain amount of time to return the item and you select a prepaid return shipping method so there’s no need to be waiting in line at the post office. Obviously it wouldn’t make sense to pay $15 for return shipping.

Unfortunately, this is not the case. I had the same issue when the price dropped Sunday night. They refused to issue a $50 credit to my debit card, saying I would have to pay to return the original one & order the new one at new price. Very un-Amazon like customer service.

            • CO Mama

Scared for what this means with Christmas gift returns. In 10+ years of shopping Amazon I have never had to pay to return ship. Does anyone know what the current return policy is? I thought at one point it was free within 30 days….

            • RZ

Several people in my IP group on FB had that problem as well (or theirs arrived damaged and they weren’t able to get another one at the lower price). Some of them just kept trying via chat or speaking to reps and their managers, until Amazon was willing to help them. It depends on who is helping you sometimes.

            • Alyssa

I’m chatting with a rep now, this is what they told me:

I also don’t have the ability to cancel the item either because it has moved to far along in the shipping process. What I can do as a one time exception is edit the price of the item for you. It is now $79.00 correct?
I will have to wait until the item ships to refund the $20.00 off of what are you being charged,. Its too far as well to make the price change.
I will create a follow up to check the order once it ships and you are charged, I will then refund the $20.00

Not sure if they mean one time as in forever, or on this particular shipment, but this works for me!

              • momof6

They have been pretty good through email for me, too! Glad they adjusted it.

        • Stephanie

Not sure what happened with your orders but I have never paid for returns with amazon. I just had to return a 12volt ride on, had UPS come pick it up from my house and have already been issued the full amount. Not sure why you would pay$15 for returns but I would write an email, or hop on chat and talk to them…they have the best customer service in my opinion

          • t.cooper

They are now charging. Several people in my town are trying to sell their amazon orders because the cost to ship back is ridiculous.

    • Stephanie

Reorder at this price and deny the one that you already bought…you can deny the package and not be charged anything

    • maura

The same thing happened to me. I ordered 2 days ago after waiting 2 weeks for a lower price and amazon is not will ing to match, but said I could return and repurchase. Its would cost me $12 in return shipping, but I am so annoyed I just may do it.

got mine on the Black Friday deal and used it for the first time last night, made stew, it was wonderful. I will use this more often.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yum! Thanks for the feedback Jan!

  3. Ayanna

Was the one offered on black Friday the 6qt as well or three 8qt?

  4. MJS

Have people been getting the protection plan?

  5. Jenna Wheeler

They have this same one at kohls for $99.99 with a 30% makes it $69.99 and get $10 kohls cash!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn! I can’t seem to find this same one from Kohls?

    • Emily

I’m pretty sure they don’t sell instant pot at kohls. They have other brands of pressure cookers but I have been checking there for a long time to see if they would start carrying instant pot with no luck!

  6. timshelleyplus3

I ordered this on Sunday for 99 when I called today they would not give me a credit but they told me to not open the one from Sunday and write return to sender on box and send back. I ordered new one while I was on phone with them and the did one day shipping. Not bad

  7. Karen

I ordered with a previous sale. I came on here just to say how much I love mine. It’s so awesome. I had partially frozen chicken breasts and made a huge Instant Pot of BBQ chicken for sandwiches in 40 minutes. It might have been less since I don’t know how long I needed to cook it, but that’s what’s so awesome about it. I can guess and either it’s fine or heats up fast again. Love it!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh YUM! Thanks for sharing your experience Karen! Good to know!

  8. Lor

Im not sure if this is the same size and brand, but it looks like the same as they sell at Costco for $40 or $50. I saw one about a week ago. My sister bought it and she said works the same as the rest that cost $25.

    • Heather

The item at Costco for $40 is a rice cooker. They also sell a pressure cooker for about $80 but it’s not an instant pot and the inner pot is not stainless steel like the instant pot.

  9. Julie

I purchased this over the summer, and I love it. I paid $120 at the time, and it was well worth it. Some meats can be cooked from frozen, so I can toss it in after work right from the freezer if I plan poorly. I highly recommend trying this!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Great to hear that Julie! Thanks for the feedback!

  10. Angela V.

For stew or chili, what size family would say this would feed? Thanks!

    • Angela V.

Nevermind, just realized this is the same size as my large crockpot which is ample big. 🙂

    • Julie

We are a family of three and we would easily get two meals out of this if we filled it to the fill line.

  11. Amy R Hottman

I’m so bummed I missed this sale. It’s back to $99 now. I’ll have to keep an eye out. Thanks for always bringing us great deals! It’s hip2save!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Bummer! I am seeing the price up now as well. You’re very welcome Amy!
