Amazon Instant Video: Rent a Movie for 99¢
Looking for inexpensive entertainment? Head over to Amazon Instant Video where you can rent any movie from this page (over 49,000 to choose from) for just $0.99 when you use the code MOVIE99 – limit 1 per person. Once you have rented a movie, you have 30 days to start watching the video and 24 hours to finish once it’s been started.
In order to apply the discount code, you will need to click on the “More Purchase Options” button found under the Rent or Buy Movie buttons (as shown above), then you will click on the “Redeem a gift card or promotion code” button (as shown above), enter the code MOVIE99 and finish checking out.
Important Note: While onsite pricing will not reflect your discount, your order history will show the promotional credit applied.
Can you still pay with slow ship credits? I’d look Oprah if it’s 99cent movies on top of my slow ship credits!
The claim code isn’t working???
Hi there! It is still working for me as I click through. The discounted price will not appear until you view your order history. Hope this helps!
Love that theres new releases too for 0.99. I have leftover amazon credit so I’ll def be doing this!
The code did not work for me. 🙁
Hi Shannon! I am still finding the code to apply. However you will only see the discount listed in your order history. Hope this helps!
It’s not working for me either. It says “The claim code you entered isn’t working. Please ensure there are no spaces and try again. If this problem continues, please contact Amazon Customer Service at Video Help and refer to error 2039.” Not sure what I did wrong
Darn! Are you on a mobile device? If not, maybe try in a different browser. Hope this helps!
I have gotten this same message every time I’ve tried it.
It’s giving me the same error message too!
Em, I rented Secret Life Of Pets and it used .99 from slow ship credits. Remember You can only rent 1 movie at the .99 price. Merry Christmas.
Thanks. Just ordered Home Alone. My 3 kids have been wanting to watch.
Great buy! You’re very welcome!
Getting the same error code as other users
Darn! Are you able to try it in a different browser?
When does this offer expire?
Here is what the details list: “Promotional credit expires January 23, 2017”
Helpful tip:
I clicked on the movie I wanted. Typed in the code, then went back and rented my title I selected. It said 4.99 at checkout. I then got an email and it showed that I rented it for .99
Do you have to have Prime?
Thanks. I just rented Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. 😀
Good! You’re so welcome! Enjoy!
Awesome! I have some digital credits I’ll use as well to make for a free movie night! Thanks H2S!
Sweet! You’re welcome Laura!
Thank you. Rented Polar Express for my son. They read the book at school and he was under the impression that they would be watching the movie at school too! They didn’t and he was disappointed. This is a perfect way to start our Christmas break!
Oh awesome! Happy to hear he will be able to see it now Lori! You’re so welcome!
Wow thanks!! Rented Storks for Xmas Eve!! It looks like it doesn’t take it out it does when you get the email receipt . Great find!! Thanks!!
You’re welcome Donna!
How do i cancel if I want a different choice?
Figured it out
Didn’t work for me either….I did Secret Life of Pets & it charged me $4.99 and when I did code it applied my credits accumulated for not always using Prime shipping, and deducted that money, which I did not want to use yet….so I quickly cancelled order
I had the same thing happen to me. 🙁
Chat with customer service and they will fix things for you.
Couldn’t get it to work. I went to YouTube and found the videos I wanted Loool. Thanks for posting though 😀
You’re welcome! Sorry to hear it was not working for you. 🙁 I do still find the offer to be valid as I click through if you wanted to try again. The details of this offer do list “While onsite pricing will not reflect your discount, your order history will show the promotional credit applied” Hope this helps!
Getting the same error code message, used my laptop Firefox and InternetExplorer, same issue both times
Bummer! This is still valid for me. Maybe clear your browsing history and try again. Hope this helps!
It worked for me thanks! I also found google play is offering 99 cent rentals good for one-time use when you click on the promotion link on their home page! Just rented two movies for $1 each from both sites! 🙂
Awesome! You’re very welcome Kristin!
I’m still trying to decide which movies to watch! A lot of new ones out.
Thanks it worked for me! Got storks for .99 cents! Whoo Hoo
Yay! You’re so welcome Brenda!
Also getting the error code thru my iphone, explorer and chrome all three.
Darn! Maybe check back again in a bit.
Not working for me. There is no rent button to click. oh well, back to netflix/hulu it is. Sorry amazon, I gave you a try.
Darn! Were you able to click on the “More Purchase Options” button? I am still finding that to work for me as listed above. Hope this helps!
I got the 2039 error code as well. However, once I clicked to purchase and checked my digital orders, it indeed did charge only 99 cents.
Thanks to everyone who said to ignore the error code. I got it, went back and rented anyway, and checked my email right away (so I could cancel the order if it was $3.99) and it showed with a $3 discount, price was 99 cents.
(note that it ends today)
