We tried freedom pop for our kids and honestly I feel like it was a waste of time. Their phones never worked unless they had it connected to wifi and it is so hard to get ahold of customer service to fix the problems. Once you do get through you are told the problem is fixed but it was not. We left the house and my phone had died and I told my daughter hey call your dad and well needless to say we got an error message saying that sprint has routed our call to outside switch and I could use my credit card to pay for more minutes but she still had 400 minutes and 7 days left. Not worth the time in my opinion.

    Hi
Looking to buy a basic phone for 6th grader for emergency situations .
Which is the best and cheapest ?
    TIA

I heard att has a basic phone that doesn’t allow anything except phone calls(and maybe text messages not 100% sure on that part though) for $10 a month with your plan. That is what my sister in law told me

Personally have one as a free phone. Data service is good…didn’t really make any calls or send texts. What do you expect for cheap or free. Great for what it is. Which is not an expensive service.
