I highly recommend quitting shampoo. I quit using shampoo years ago and my hair looks better than ever. It takes a while for your hair to fully adjust but in the end it is worth it. I’ll never go back to using shampoo or any chemicals on my hair.

Nothing! Occasionally I rinse my hair with bottled water if I need to, but even that is rare. I could just rinse my hair in the shower, but we have hard water and it leaves my hair looking terrible. You might think my hair is grimey but I guarantee you it’s not. I do comb/brush my hair and scrub/massage my scalp daily. All the grit in my hair comes off on the comb, scalp brush and regular brush. I use a wide-toothed comb(detangle& comb), scalp brush(to get grit off my scalp and keep from looking like I have dandruff), and a boar hair bristled brush(distributes natural oils from roots to ends of hair). I clean combs/brush regularly with a vinegar/water mixture. It takes some time for your hair to adjust to not being washed daily or every X days. Your hair will feel greasy and grimey for a while, but it is so worth it. Google no poo and you’ll see many blogs that show before and after pictures. I do put coconut oil in my hair sometimes for extra shine but I never ever put anything else in my hair.
