Thank you. Was just about to join again, glad I waited.

    • Erica (Silly Sidekick)

      You’re so welcome!

  2. Michelle

Husband was telling me a few weeks ago that he wanted us to get a Sam’s card. I told him if we’d be patient that you (hip2save) would post a great deal on a new membership and it’d be better to wait. So glad we did, and how much fun it was to show him your post. 🙂 Thanks!

    • Erica (Silly Sidekick)

LOL! Love that Michelle! Woo Hoo – You’re so welcome!

  3. Jill

I’ve never had a Sam’s club membership, is it worth it?

    • Laura

that is a personal decision – I find a lot of things more expensive than in the local stores. Plus you can’t use coupons. But on the other hand, I find things that are a smoking great deal or things I can’t find in our local stores. Soryy I couldn’t be more help. Perhaps you want to go check it out before buying. To get in the door without membership, just tell them your going to the cafe. You don’t need a membership to eat there. Then walk around and check out the prices.

      • Leslie Ramey

I never knew you could eat there without a membership! I haven’t had a membership in a long time but was craving their pizza for some strange reason. Good to know, thanks!

      • hellfire gainz

I am not sure that information is accurate. Mine asks for my card half the time.

    • Erica (Silly Sidekick)

I personally love having a Sam’s Club membership – I like to stock up on K-cups there (they are typically always less than 50¢ per K-cup at regular price), their Rotisserie Chickens are $4.98 (AND they are always a great size), and their pizza… it SO ROCKS! 😀

      • Jennifer

Or tell them you are going to the pharmacy. You do not have to be a Sam’s club member to use the pharmacy there

    • Cathy

I’ve had a membership for years. I love it. My hubby eats a lot of meat. I like to grab their hamburger ($2.98/lb) for the 90% and pork in bulk. I break down at home. The instant savings draws me in if I think it’s a good deal. It’s fun to check out the clothing. I’ve found Eddie Bauer T-shirts that I love. For all that is included with this deal, it’s worth it for one year.

      • Erica (Silly Sidekick)

Awesome to hear Cathy!! I always love looking at their Seasonal Christmas gift items too!

    • Nancygaye

I’ve had many memberships over the past 20 years. When my children were home, it was more lucrative. However, even though it’s just the two of us, there are many things that I but. I like to get bags of spinach and organic salad greens, kcups, frozen chicken, etc. People rave about the hotdogs at the cafe! With this deal, you can’t go wrong!

      • Sarah

The hot dogs are amazing but you don’t have to be a member to eat there 🙂

    • Jackie

I re-joined Sam’s Club last year and it’s worth it if you have a family and/or cook a lot. If you plan a lot of family gatherings, it’s a great time saver. The Rotisserie chicken is great for under $5. Sheet cakes, baked goods, chicken breasts, meats, are great as well. Gift card deals are awesome from time to time.

    • Amy

I agree with above comments. Having 2 teens, I can sometimes get better meat deals and def. get better produce selection/quality than our local grocery store and I really dislike Walmart (I know the two are related). So for us, it’s a no brainer. Bread, omeprazole, frzn berries are also better price and we go through lots.

    • Christina

I accidentally ordered a refill of one of my prescriptions at Walmart the other day. The clerk came to the counter and told me my total was $109. I was in a total panic. As it turns out, I made a mistake: I usually have this prescription filled at Sam”s Club for $12. So just one refill pays for my plus membership. That’s before we even consider the cash back or promotions like this. Also, the gas is more affordable at Sam’s here than anywhere else.

  4. Monica

We are renewing ours today, and my husband is the primary. I wonder if I can get this under my name…..?

    • Amber

Yes u can… I go back and forth so we can use these deals each year

      • Hunterwoody

Me too. Every year we switch who is the primary. Works like a charm

      • Dee

Do you get new cards too?

        • Jess

Yes! We have gotten new cards everytime we flipped between primary holders!

        • Hunterwoody

Yes same as above. New cards for both of us

    • Dana

I am curious about this also.

  5. Bee

I have a Sams Club near my house and Costco. Is one better than the other? TIA ☺️

    • Yessss!

Costco has better quality items IMO. But Sam’s has tried to get more organic items and better produce. Sam’s is basically a big Walmart, and I personally think Walmart is gross.

      • Bee

Thanks for your honest opinion. I’ll check out Costco 😁

    • Sharon

The main difference I’ve noticed is that Costco’s packages are bigger. They carry a lot of the same things. With the chicken strips I buy, same brand, the bag at Costco is half again bigger. But price per ounce comes out the same. I like the prepared meals at Sam’s. The enchiladas are awesome!

    • KP

I have a membership to both because I was able to score them using the great deals on this site for just a few dollars a piece after the freebies. I had been a Sams Club member for years but they constantly discontinued my preferred items and the customer service (for click’n’pull, checkout, customer service desk) was SO bad that I truly dreaded my trips (i have three within 20 minutes of me and all were equally terrible). When I saw the Costco deal posted last year on this site, I picked it up to see if it was a better fit for my family (and less dreadful). There are higher quality products that I enjoy at Costco; however, the store is soooooo busy no matter when I go that I still don’t enjoy the experience (anybody else miss the days when you could peacefully wander the aisles of a warehouse club looking for great finds?). The bakery/cafe pizzas are superior in every way at Costco (they are whats Sams used to be- before they went to cheese and pepperoni options only with some unpleasant semblance of cheese on top…Costco lets me get all sorts of veggies and yummy extras at just $1 more than I would pay at Sams). I also enjoy the produce, prepared foods, and prepackaged foods better at Costco. Now the reason I picked my Sams Club membership back up (on a deal I found here of course!) is because Sams tends to have better deals on bottled water, cleaning supplies, K Cups, and frozen foods (unless you have an extra freezer- the prices are comparable per serving/oz but Costcos packages are just so big), and definitely the best price/quality Rotisserie chickens in town. Someone else gave great advice earlier of doing a walk through before deciding which is best for you. Even within my family, we all have different preferences based on what we buy and how we prefer to buy it….My Sister is an Amazon/BJ’s buyer…my sister in-law is a Costco/Trader Joes buyer, etc…i find I make a list for my four preferred stores-Costco, Sams, Trader Joes, and Kroger (and I know which stores have the best prices/quality for the items I want) and I pick one store per week to go to (really- who has time to go to multiple places). Oh and I do my Target shopping 100% online (because going in just opens up Pandoras box for me….)

    • Teri

It’s a matter of preference. They carry some of the same stuff. The Sam’s club and Costco here are a block from each other. I like that at Sam’s I can order online to pick up in store if I don’t feel like shopping. If I had to absolutely make a choice I would probably choose Costco, but I think that’s just me. I’ve been a Costco member for many years and a Sam’s club for only 1. I prefer the pizza from Costco but I can get an icee at Sam’s. Gas prices are about the same but I know Costco is Top Tier gas and not sure if Sam’s is. The chicken is cheaper at Costco but I can get a wedding cake at Sam’s. lol. (No, I don’t need a wedding cake) The produce is about the same but notice once in a while it’s cheaper at Costco. I’m not a good judge of the meat department because I’m a vegetarian but if I buy meat it’s usually from Costco. I can get twin size sheets in the club at Sam’s but not Costco. I’ve purchased clothes at both. Pretty sure either one will let you go check them out without being a member so I’d take a list of things you know you’d buy and see how they compare.

  6. Marie

I assume this is regular membership not plus?

    • Erica (Silly Sidekick)

Yes, this is just the regular membership!

  7. themeadow01

If I/m already a member, and I do this deal, will it just extend my membership?

    • Laura

      no

  8. southern

So we did this last year and worked great however we couldnt use it until a certain date..it wasnt immediately available..is that the same policy on this one?

    • Laura

that’s weird – I did this deal the last time Collin posted it. Except we also received free organic salad. And out coupons loaded right away and we were able to use the giftcard too

  9. Kristi

How long do you have to wait to be a “new” member? My membership expired last month. Does anyone know if Costco ever has any membership deals? Can’t recall seeing any and would love to try them out!

    • Sanya

Costco also gives you free pizza and some other stuff for free. I signed for costco last week and they gave me free large pizza from the cafe, free 40 pack batteries, free coffee jar (costco brand) and free 40 ct water case (costco brand)

      • Mkw

I’m interested in Costco membership…. is this a seasonal promotion or do I need to call customer service?

        • Sanya

The customer service people told me that this promotion is valid all year long and is not seasonal. Hope this helps 🙂

          • stacy

Hi Sanya, I signed up and got the email awhile back with my specific gift card item number. You said they told you this promotion can be redeemed anytime all year long?

      • Heather C

Hmmmmmm…..I’ve heard of the pizza, but nothing else in CA. I should know, my husband works there!

    • Kp

I think it’s either 4 or 6 months to be new and Costco definitely does a similar deal as I took advantage last year (around March for me) and got a gift card, pizza, organic Tostitos, and batteries plus they sent me a free item coupon (bakery, meat, produce) every few weeks for a while which was awesome!

    • SD

I joined Costco last month and didn’t get anything free 😞

    • Garfield

It’s six months but if you have a spouse they can get the membership (even if they had a card through your membership). Costco has deals but they are really rare.

    • Ailin

I read something from Sam’s saying you could not have been a member for the past 6 months to take advantage of this kind of deal. I let mine lapse and waited for something like this to rejoin. Thanks, Collin!

  10. Sherry

I’d like to see a Costco deal also.

  11. Ashley C.

Crap! I’m on my way there to renew my membership. I wonder how long it’s going to take for them to send the code 😕

    • Dawn

Costco did their deal around the end of Jan/beginning of February last year. I know because it was the very week after we signed up. However, we personally have not liked Costco at all so I’m excited to go back to Sam’s Club!

  12. Lizz

Does this apply to a business membership?

    • Laura

      no

  13. Pat SENNETT

NEED to know: My Sams Club membership expires soon, but I have their Credit Card. If I don’t renew, what happens with it?
Can my husband join with this deal?

  14. Anne

    Does this include business membership

    • Laura

      no

      • AliceCross

Why did I click on the website and it said pick your card after the motion was stated I never saw that it did not state I couldn’t get a business membership. Not get the motion it’s clearly state. Sam’s Club should make it very clear what they are promoting it with they are not Promoting it is not clear at all

  15. lisashonklisa

Does anyone have more info on COSTCO membership. We were going to join today, but would like to get these deals also.
    Thanks!

  16. couponqwen

My membership expired a year ago. Can I do this deal?

    • Hunterwoody

      Yes

  17. MelanieG

Do you have to join online or in store to recieve the mentioned deals?

    • Erica (Silly Sidekick)

Hey Melanie – I am only seeing this offered online!

  18. Lindak

Our savings in gas each year is more than the full price of a sams membership. Usually sams is between 15 to 20 cents per gallon than the stations around us. We also like sams for cheese, lettuce and paper plates. We got a $250 gift card on a new iphone too. We have a costco membership which is great for electronics. .

  19. Chris

I’m debating. I currently have a Sam’s Club closer to me than Costco. I’ve been a Costco member for years and love it but until the new one opens near our house, it’s almost 30 minutes away. I’ve never been a Sam’s Club member but this deal seems to good to pass up…decisions, decisions…sigh…

  20. bd

my membership expired 10/5, i have not renewed…would I be a new member? it doesn’t specify in the terms and conditions

  21. niki

Hello I just clicked on that link .gave my email but I didn’t get anything yet .how long they take time to send the deal?

    • crystal

Im still waiting on my email too. I think over 3 hrs now.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi there! Be sure to check your spam, junk or promotions folders of your email as well! Hope this helps!

  22. Kelly

I did it but don’t see the coupon for the pizza or cookies. Will that be automatically added to my card?

    • Brandi

I don’t see them yet either. Has anyone signed up and received the free offers? Where should we look?

    • Laura

The last time Sams had this deal – the lady in customer service told me it could take up to 48 hours to load onto my acct – for me, it was there the next day

      • Kelly Purchis

        Thanks!

      • kimberly

How do we know if its there? I got my e gift card right away but no mention of the pizza and cookies.

        • KP

You have to create your account online- then when you login, click on my account, then instant savings- your coupons for the free items show up there. Hope that helps!

          • Michelle

Hello! I created my account, and the food offers are there, but how do I use them in store? Will they be automatically liked to my card, or do I have to click buy before heading out? Sorry to be a pain! (I don’t have a smart phone, and Sam’s is over an hour away so I’d hate to miss out because the offers would probably expire before I could get back). Thanks for the info!

            • Laura

If the coupons are in your account the items will ring up free once you scan your sams card at the checkout

              • Michelle

So I don’t have to click “buy” for it to show up when they scan my card as long as it shows up in my instant savings? (Sorry! Just making sure before I trek out over an hour one way with 4 boys!!) 🙂

  23. Butterflymom4

Thank u so much I was just going to join, perfecting timing.

    • Erica (Silly Sidekick)

      You’re so welcome!

  24. NJD

My membership is up for renewal. I will renew it, but it really irritates me that Sam’s offers deals to new members but nothing for their existing members. Sorry, that is my rant.

    • eyez

you’re right NJD……it’s sad the current members don’t get any deals. alot of companies are like that. no fair. my friend received a letter from Sam’s after her membership expired saying if she came back to renew it would only cost $25. I’m like wow i never got a letter like that

      • Michelle

Here’s what I’ve found: when something like this comes up, (membership renewal perks for new members vs standard pricing for current members), I call the company. I’m super polite, and explain that I saw a deal for new members and was hoping I could get the same as I’ve been a loyal customer for (x) amount of time. MOST of the time they’re happy to help, and for those that aren’t, I politely request my membership/account be cancelled—that usually does the trick. If not, I do go through and cancel and take my business elsewhere. I am always polite and friendly, it’s not the girl or guys fault at customer service that I wasn’t offered the same offer as a new customer. (A good attitude in my opinion will always get me farther than a rude one). So, my motto is it never hurts to politely ask, it usually works out. 🙂

    • Pat

Don’t Sams members get instant savings deals? If I recall when I had a membership, there were some pretty good ones. I got freebies sometimes.

  25. deanna

When I click on the link I see the free food offers but do not see the $25 gift card offer. Am I missing something or is it only in certain areas?

    • brindha

Same for me in ohio…wondering the same thing. Anyone have any idea?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi there! I am still finding the Gift Card offer listed when clicking through the link. Maybe click back through again to check. Hope this helps!

  26. Cindy

Just what I’ve been waiting for!!! Thanks!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome Cindy!

  27. Mahesh

After submitting with email, still have not received any email.did anyone got email with code?

    • summersky5

I signed up for the code and I also have not received it. It’s been 4 or 5 hours now. Did you get yours yet?

      • Mahesh

        Not yet

  28. Kim

Do u choose business or individual membership? Thx

    • Laura

      It’s for individual

      • Anne

Where does it state it’s for individual? When you click the link it comes up with all the membership choices.

        • Sarah

Yes I’m wondering the same thing. I just signed up with a business membership. I would have liked to know before hand if business memberships weren’t included in the promotion.

          • Sarah

Just checked and the pizza and cookies coupons were loaded to my instant savings in the app. Still haven’t received the 25$ gc yet. It’s been 6 hours. I got the business membership.

            • Rosemary

Did you get the gc loaded? Just wondering..I too joined the business membership and don’t see any gc loaded.. Thanks

  29. Schuwoman

Awesome! We were just talking about getting a Sams club membership again! We debated on Costco but with this deal Sams Club make sense!

  30. Kelly

Does anyone know if you can have a 2nd member on the card at Sam’s and do they have to be at the same address. Costco you have to be at the same address. BJ’s you don’t. Thanks

    • Jodi

Yes you can add a second person but yes they have to be in the same household.

    • Tiggy

Yes, you can have a 2nd member. No, they do not have to be in the same HH. My neighbor and I share a membership. I asked my local Sam’s before I purchased a membership last year.

  31. Lindsey b

How do you get the gift card? The free pizza and cookies?

    • Erica (Silly Sidekick)

You will receive your $25 gift card at the time your membership card is issued (limit one gift card per primary member). The Instant Savings will be automatically loaded to your membership account within 24 hours after joining and the offers will be valid for 30 days thereafter.

      • Lindsey b

Thanks! So I just go get my card then?

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yes! You will receive your $25 gift card at the time your membership card is issued 🙂

  32. T

Thank you so much for posting! Last weekend we were thinking about joining, but I told my husband I’ll keep checking to see if they have a deal soon. Perfect timing

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome! 🙂

  33. Mel

I was the primary account holder and my husband had a card under me- they expired in august. I just called and they said we couldn’t do this deal since he had been on my account. Has anyone else had this problem or should he be able to sign up for it?

  34. Christie Gantt

My Mom and I want to share a membership. Is this possible? I would be the primary but could she get a card for herself?

    • dwilson19

I just did this and yes, i added my sister she will get her own card only asked for her email and phone number

  35. Holli

We did this last year… great deal, but we didn’t use it near as much as we thought we would…
Also- remember to call & cancel before your 1-year is up, or your card will be charged $110 to renew!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the honest feedback Holli!

    • Jenn

What was the $110 charge for? Membership is only $45. We have never had an auto renewal.

  36. Brandi

Where do you find the free item coupons? I received my giftcard via email but when I click on instant savings all I see are the standard “coupons”.

    • Brandi

Finally found them! Go to My account, instant savings, then just keep scrolling…they are all mixed in with the regular offers. They say 100%off.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

        Awesome! Thanks for sharing!

  37. TinaLobs

  41. Rose

I got this deal, and went to sams today to get the cookie and pizza dealand the cashier said it was only for cookies OR pizza. She scanned them anyways to see if it would add up to 0.00 for both but only one was being taken off.

  42. Susan

Question: If your Sam’s club membership expired in July as mine has, can I now join as a new member? Thanks in advance everybody

  43. MSavage

I got the membership and the 25.00 gift card. How do I get the best pizza and cookies. I don’t see them on the instant savings. Am I missing something? I got the membership yesterday. Do you get cookies AND pizza? I also downloaded the sams club app to search them

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi there! They will be automatically loaded to your membership account within 24 hours after joining and the offers will be valid for 30 days thereafter. Hope this helps!

  44. Crystal

How long did it take for e gift card to arrive?

  45. ashley

How long did it take to receive the email with code? I submitted hours ago and didn’t receive anything yet.

    • ashley

Mine was in my spam folder pretty quickly.

  46. Richard Campbell

I joined yesterday 1-14-17 at my local Sam’s Club and entered my email for this deal but still as of 1-15-17, I still haven’t received any email code for this deal

  47. steph

I did this and never got anything. I called customer service and they said I didn’t sign up correctly (even though I followed this exact link) and get nothing. She was extremely rude. So be cautious. Waste of my time and money.

  48. Melissa Grubb

I’m doing one better. Earned $25 Sam’s Club Gift Card from Ibotta so I’m earning money on this offer!!!!

  49. Cassandra

Hey there is a $10.00 cash back on checkout 51 for purchasing the savings or saving plus memberships!!!

  50. Emily Ray

Has anyone signed up with this deal? How soon after did you get emailed the gift card? Are the pizza and cookies on your card right away or do they send you something for those too?

    • Emily Ray

I signed up through the link a week ago and still haven’t received the gift card…
