Blue cheese lovers will enjoy this cool and creamy dip!

I feel like adding a little blue cheese levels up traditional French onion dip and gives it a bit more sophistication or grown-up taste. The best part is it takes just a few minutes to make and you can pair it with any of your favorite veggies or chips.

I always keep an onion soup packet on hand in the pantry for easy ideas like this!

Tips for making the best blue cheese French onion dip:

    • I always have dry herbs in the pantry, but feel free to add in fresh dill or parsley instead if you have that on hand! I like to top it with a few sliced green onions. but that’s totally optional.
    • You can make this dip ahead of time as it gets even better the next day! Store any leftovers in a covered container for up to 5-7 days.

Sour cream French onion dip is an oldie but a goodie!

I grew up on this classic dip as a kid and this blue cheese twist is so GOOD!

I personally love it with some crunchy Ruffles or Lay’s chips, and fresh veggie dippers are delicious as well. Enjoy!

This looks great! I have some blue cheese I need to use up, so this is great timing! Thank you so much!

Lost me at onion soup mix. MSG & Sodium bomb.

Would you swap the same amount of cream cheese for the blue cheese 1/2 a cup?

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Ya that sounds good!

I have made this over 8 times since I found the recipe over the summer. It is quick, easy and just delicious! Even some people who do not like blue cheese have tried this dip & said it wasn’t too bad. I add more than 1/2 cup of blue cheese if I’m making it for myself. It goes really good with plain potato chips, plain pretzels and veggies.

YAY! Thanks so much for letting us know about the blue cheese and how well you enjoyed this recipe! 🤗💕
