If you are referring to CVS, there is no overage. You will earn $5 EB (store credit) which is how it is a “money maker” but you still pay a few dollars up front.

Not sure if the walgreens scenario will work. Isn’t that applying 3 coupons for two items. Given my history with Walgreens couponing, I think this will only be an exercise in frustration.

I think at best, the Walgreens coupon will only deduct $2, not $4. If they were to apply as $2 +$2, that would be a 3rd coupon. They have never let me use manufacturer coupon and digital coupon on same item? As in the ad, the max discount on two after bogo is $6 not $8.
That’s only if the digital coupon is a manufacturer coupon. As this scenario says, the digital is a Walgreens store coupon, so yes, those do apply to multiple of the same item you are buying.
Lel, the $2 Wags coupon is from the monthly booklet, which you can pick up in the store or you can add the coupon digitally through the Wags app. Wags store coupons do not count towards the item ratio. This $2 digital offer shouldn’t be confused with a digital “manuf” offer, which they also provide on the app. The digital manuf offers will not stack with a paper coupon.

I went to Walgreens yesterday to do this deal and the register wouldn’t ring up the booklet coupon. The cashier just recited to me the “one coupon per item.” So I looked up the coupon policy and got the manager over and she agreed and made it work.

At my local Walgreens, there was an Almay makeup remover priced at $5.79 each so it was $0.74 for both!
Also, make sure the manufacturer coupon is scanned before the savings booklet coupon. I had issues with the cashier scanning it in the reverse order.
At Rite Aid, they are BOGO 50%. I bought one for $6.29 and the other for $3.14, and both coupons came off without a hiccup, and so I got them for $.71 each! Great deal!

Why can’t we use two $4/1 coupons at Walgreens?
Because the second one costs $2.99, when you apply the Walgreens January savings coupon, the price is only $0.99. Walgreens doesn’t let you use coupons over the value of the item.
I used two Almay and 2 Wags coups, all deducted, credit balance went towards a grocery item that I purchase. I didn’t realize the scenario was to use one Almay, but it worked out to my advantage in this case.
I also received a $3 off $12 purchase of eyes, lips, or face cosmetics from CVS. Can that be used with the Almay eyeshadow deal to make it a bigger moneymaker?

so, may I use 2 4/1 from the inserts today, and then the $2 IVC from the book…and expect overage? This sounds like the days of 2008 when I used to buy things I needed with the overage from IVC plus coupon! 🙂
As long as you scan the manufacture coupon first, and the IVC second then yes there is overage. But you most have additional items in the transaction for the overage to go towards.

Maybe you can help me. I haven’t shopped at CVS for a few years. Today I printed out my 3 $4 coupons, went to CVS and got 3 Almay products. All of them were at least $6 each. So my total was over $18. It didn’t work. The cashier was clueless to what I did wrong and just printed out a $5 ECB for me. I just want to understand. I don’t have to reach the $15 after coupons have been applied, correct?
You should have gotten the ECB if the total is at least $15 before coupons. Glad you had a nice cashier who issued it for you.
This coupon must of been reported because you can’t print it anywhere anymore. I also saw a notation on it when I tried that it had been reported.
