It looks like you can get enough to refill each color toner twice for $80 on Amazon. I’m not sure how difficult it would be. I’ve had a Brother laser printer (black ink only) that I’ve used heavily for seven years. I’ve refilled the toner as well as just switched out the toner cartridge. One is far messier than the other.
black toner appears to be $60+ but colors will set you back $100. It needs 3 colors.
My husband says it’s good brand name. He says can’t go wrong for the price. He works in computers so we are buying it. We passed up the others because they were mono and this is color.
Great brand. Just have to watch out for refill prices. I personally would rather find a laser with much lower toner costs, unless your printing is on the low side.

I keep seeing comments about the toners being $100+ or you have to DIY refills…. Not sure why.

It is cheaper to do DIY (about $40-$60 for the kit on ebay or amazon), but some people are understandably iffy about it. I just wanted to leave a comment regarding the toner because there are cheaper options.
Either way, this is a superb price for a COLOR LASER printer from a very well renowned corporate level printer brand. They don’t make as many consumer level printers so you may not have heard about them, but they make great office printers. However, please remember to be responsible to the environment if you’re looking to get this as a “disposable” printer (i.e., buy it cheap then replace it after the toner runs out). Make sure to recycle e-waste properly (google for how to do so in your area)!
Also, please remember that laser printers can print way more per toner cartridge than inkjets can per ink cartridge. The starter toners are rated for 1,000 pages compared to most inkjets which are 200-400 depending on the brand and model. Moreover, laser toner doesn’t dry up like inkjet does so if you’re doing infrequent printer, it won’t lose potency due to being exposed to oxygen.
We bought it yesterday and it arrived today! I love it so far. It isn’t the easiest to setup in the network especially for Wifi but we got it working. It prints two-sided. And you can change to just printing black and white.
