From reader, Maile – I know that you have posted about the Michael’s $4 grab bags (which my stores still happen to have in stock), but as I was reading the comments on your post, I picked up a few tips. One of them was that the K’nex sets may still be on the shelf – and they were at my store & ringing up at 90% off! I scanned all of the varieties from the large roller coaster to the smallest people and they were all 90% off. As you can see from the photo, my display was fully stocked and not marked at all.
Another tip that I picked up from the comments on your previous post (love this H2S community!) was that some wire baskets were ringing up 90% off – I found those too! Again, with the rest of the baskets and not marked on clearance. They need to have the red tag that says “Inspired Style” I thought it may be helpful for your readers to see photos of these deals so they know what to look for 🙂 Thanks for all that you & the team & my fellow hipsters do!
And another reader comment from Emily: One store had the k’nex sets still on the shelf. I scanned them and they all rang up 90% off. I got $39.99 sets for $3.99! Small sets; plane, helicopter, and truck were $9.99 and I paid $0.99! They also had the ones for girls – $14.99 and I paid $1.49! Larger one $29.99 and I paid $2.99! I’m saving these for V-day! Awesome deals!
Just a word of warning, Scan the items yourself to check the price because if an employee finds out they are 90% off they have to remove them from the shelf.
Why would they have to remove them if an employee finds out?

Uses for a wire basket? Any ideas?
I put all our coffee supplies in them on the counter next to the coffee pot. I also have one on the hutch for misc. items and papers/mail. We don’t have a play room so I keep some in the family room in a basket…. I love baskets lol
I would love some of these for my walk-in pantry. 🙂

these are such great deals and I know my kids would love it. Unfortunately, I checked both Michaels near me, and neither of them carry the K’nex sets. One of the Michaels had opaque plastic grab bags, so I can see there were no k’nex in there; the other did not have any $4 box or bags. bummer. would be nice to have a tool like brickseek for the craft stores 😉
How much did the baskets cost after the 90% off?
The rectangular ones come in 3 sizes: $2.99, $3.49, $3.99 and the other one is $4.49.

Thank you for posting! I needed to get groceries anyhow, so we stopped at Michaels and they had a lot of knex sets 90% off! Got a bunch of the small sets to put in our operation Christmas child boxes for 99 cents each and some for my gift closet! I loved knex as a kid, haha, I might be more excited about them than my kids are!

Thank you for posting this! My husband and I hunted the shelves in the store. There were no baskets, but a TON of Kinex sets. We bought a thousand dollars worth of the sets for $100! Christmas 2017 for the nieces and nephews is done!

Yay! $55 for both boys and girls Knex sets. Birthday party this Sunday…gift ✔️. Christmas and other birthdays ✔️. It’s good unless I put them away and forget where my present stash is located.
Michaels in Clifton Park, NY have tons of KNEX sets for 90% off.

First store had none… Jackpot at second store! Untouched display full of knex for boys and girls! Scooped up for birthdays and Christmas! Shared the deal with two other ladies in the store and told them all about the great ways to save with Hip2save. Money is super tight right now…can not express how appreciative I am of Hip2save! I was able to find some wooden with mesh wire end baskets at my micheals. They were up on the wall out of reach so I had to ask an associate to get them down for me. They had a ton of them. There were 3 different sizes stacked in each set (sold separately). I got a total of 16 baskets and a grab bag that had some decent items in it for $40. Now I just have to figure out what I’m going to do with all the baskets. Thanks!!
Was totally hoping for the baskets, but got a ton of Knex sets for 90% off, plus was able to use the 20% off coupon too!! I get 7 large Knex, 10 small Knex and other storage bins for makeup all for $40.02! I am SO stoked for the upcoming kids’ birthdays this year!!!
I bought those metal baskets and love them but don’t have a clue what to do with them. My pantry doesn’t need them. Trying to get creative and maybe hang them?? Any ideas????

You are Lucky to have gotten either the baskets or the Knex. My store don”t carry Knex and did not have any baskets. 🙁 I always make baskets for gifts and filled them up with goodies.

Thank you!. I’ve never had a gift closet before (mostly because I’m too cheap) but I spent$57 and got so so so many knex. My son is 5 so I got a bunch of girl sets and boy sets for any parties or whatever. Amazing prices!!!
